I don't know, honestly, maybe Trump will be committed to further US ops in the future (which means sucking us into a fight in Venezuela), which then this strike will mean something. This is like what we did in Iraq in reverse; we didn't first capture Saddam, we dismantled the government first because we know his next in line will keep on fighting, or they really did make a deal with Rodriguez, which then begs the question of why we go in like this instead of Rodriguez handing Maduro to us.If you are right in your post then it begs a big question: Why did Trump risk American servicemen in such a risky operation? Even five dead bodies would amount to 5000 dead bodies politically for a 'pro Peace' President. Biden couldn't bear the 13 dead bodies at the Kabul Airport in August 2021.
