Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

If you are right in your post then it begs a big question: Why did Trump risk American servicemen in such a risky operation? Even five dead bodies would amount to 5000 dead bodies politically for a 'pro Peace' President. Biden couldn't bear the 13 dead bodies at the Kabul Airport in August 2021.
I don't know, honestly, maybe Trump will be committed to further US ops in the future (which means sucking us into a fight in Venezuela), which then this strike will mean something. This is like what we did in Iraq in reverse; we didn't first capture Saddam, we dismantled the government first because we know his next in line will keep on fighting, or they really did make a deal with Rodriguez, which then begs the question of why we go in like this instead of Rodriguez handing Maduro to us.

You are talking like you are not aware who is your president and that he lives off the spectacles, you give him to much credit and conventional reasoning.
Oh, I did fully expect him to be wishful thinking, but I still have my doubts about why this ops is necessary...

Maduro is a wanted narcoterrorist dictator. An illegitimate dictator that has destroyed his country. This was a long time coming.
Who died and made you god?
Look at your own country. The only one thats used the nuke. The only one to attack Libya Afghanistan Iraq and the list goes on. When you talk about narcissism - let your rampant leaders look in the mirror. All about the friggin oil - dont start your crap on this thread about introducing your way of life here again. It wont wash

There is no appetite in America for even a limited war, let alone the Iraq War 2003.
Anyway, NY Times is reporting that some in Maduro's inner circle of power survived this attack. Let's see if they were really loyal to Maduro and/or the State of Venezuela.

I think most of us were hoping Pakistan would do this in Afghanistan......(that would have been a legitimate operation).

It's just a bit of fun for the Americans. Possibly a testing ground for new hardware/ tactics.

They could probably emulate this in most countries if needed.
Proof of concept, flicking the whip in the hemisphere, and domestic politics (Trump trying to win back right wing Latinos).

Oh My God, he literally uses the same speech Putin used to justify the invasion in Venezuela in his press conference......

Its not just logistics. Pakistan and china became close beacause they were united by the same enemy and because both sides found it valuable to look past other differences to become closer allies
I'm talking about a future conflict with the US.

Someone should translate the other’s speech and see how it pays to the audience in the other’s country. Interesting that the messaging is not really to the domestic audience, but to the world; we are a great power.

If Russia had taken Kiev that first week, the global impression of Russia would be a kin to what the world thinks of the US, unjustified but still powerful.

In Trump’s interview to Fox News this morning, he said the cartels run Mexico not the Mexican president, aka, we may have to do what we may have to do there as well. He ends the interview with “Something is going to have to be done with Mexico”.
