Visualizing the Decline of U.S. Manufacturing, by Sector (2002-2022)

US is pretty green. Can speak from experience. Wilderness is everywhere.

If you see an odd stone wall in the middle of nowhere in that isolated wilderness you thought nobody had ever walked through it is because it used to be the border marker between two horizon to horizon clearcut farms...but the land has now been given back to nature. Those are the stones the farmer's plows pulled up as they worked the land.

Lots of land reverted. The ghosts of long forgotten farmers now walk through the trees.

It's because US is a new world country which doesn't have thousands of years active human activities and deforestation.
US city streets don't have many trees, Chinese cities must have trees lining the streets.

City in US is a strong word. Most "cities" don't even boast 1 million people. America is such an empty country. And very green and beautiful. I had lived in Cali for nearly 10 years.

Can't argue about it being "new" or cities lacking tree. Manhattan has few trees unless you ignore central park, battery park etc. Same can't be said other Burroughs. Ofcourse things are different in smaller cities. Lots of "wood" to be had.

US city streets don't have many trees,

 Why are you constantly making generalizations?

There are trees everywhere as far as the eye can see in most US cities

Downtown Miami

Boston

Downtown Atlanta

Chicago

infact most of the time all you see is trees with only the tallest building poking out.
