The problem with IAF is that they want every platform to be the best of the best. They could have easily kept SU-57 but left the project when the platform was ready. I agree okay it may not be same capability and quality as J-35 or F-35. But still it is better then all the other platforms indian airforce have and all of the platforms PAF operates. Even with Tejas, they will not induct it despite many modifications by HAL.

The problem is not with Modi, the problem is unrealistic approach by IAF.

F-35s are not, and never have been, on the table for India. That is why Lockheed had to go through the whole F-21 tasmasha to convince the Indians to take an F-16.

The very fact that India is talking to Russia on SU-57 shows you why US will never allow F-35 anyehere near India. To the point when one had to make an emergency landing in Indian (Royal Navy F-35), the Brits rushed guards to the plane and it was forbidden to be taken inside a hanger and could be observed by Sats at all times.

the aircraft was 5 weeks on Indian soil with 3 weeks in a hangar
half of those in the picture close to the aircraft are brown skinned

I am not sure who it was who said Pakistan will eat grass but we will have our bomb. India today is not that poor. Indian economy is 6th largest at current prices and probably 3rd in Purchasing Power Parity Basis. Now China is moving towards 500 to 1000 stealth aircrafts . Not that I want India to succeed (for obvious reasons) but you guys would be wise to move away from Russian Junk. Su 57, or whatever fancy number they give it, is just not upto the mark, sadly.

Russians themselves are heavily relying on their Missiles to pound Ukrainians. Chinese won't give you anything, Uncle Sam is the only realistic option you guys have.

There is one other option: don't mess with PAF, we will continue to humiliate you (like we have always done). If you're really itching for it may I suggest you give PN a wake ️ up call? They seem to be MIA.
