Whatever

I flagged 3 posts for "trolling" after one of mine was deleted (and yours as well). One of the other guy's got deleted and the other two remained. I thought "meh... good enough".

But then a few hours later, one of the management got up and gave me a vacation until next Wednesday. "Abusing the Reporting System".

That's a new one. :ROFLMAO:

They have too many rules. I personally think they are making up shit as they go along. At least one of them is.

(we are talking about another forum... not PDF)
I've gotten used to seeing posts deleted. Like the song says "step outta line, the man comes and takes you away".

I tend to agree there is some winging going on. The volume of posting reflects it now.

What song is that? Similar to this one?

Oh, and we had 4 channels
We had one channel, Govt owned. And a holiday on Tuesdays (I think it was Tuesdays). I am sure the TV station shut down on Tuesdays but nobody else seems to remember it? Maybe it was a false memory?

TV used to start every day at around 5:30 in the afternoon with this HORRIBLY MELANCHOLY tune.

After the lady coming on ... the "Announcer" and boring us with the schedule for the the night's viewing, we got a dose of religion and then a cartoon. And then some American or Pak half an hour show... like Lassie or Daktari or some such. At 8, we got the show of the evening. Either a hit drama (usually boring for me) or something like Star Trek. Movies were once a week late at night. Other nights ended with music. Sometimes a visiting orchestra would make an appearance.

It's all a blur... my memory has been added to much and everything inside got mixed with everything else. Sometimes I forget which name I'm supposed to use today. So if I am getting some details wrong, please don't jump down my throat. Much appreciated.

The TV transmission ended with the national anthem with a Pak flag flying on a flag pole. We visited the TV station once and saw the flag pole for ourselves. It was a knitting needle in front of a desktop fan.

Oh... and the ads. A TON of ads. If the Govt was making money from all these ads, why were they charging us a fee??? Greedy buggers.

Enjoy everyone:

And now, you've hundreds if not thousands of channels to select from. Many of which make you long for the days of the shoe polish commercials.

BTW, I've got some of that shoe polish. :)

"Stop wasting our time with your trolling and go back to watching all those manosphere influencers. You have never been married and are clueless about many things"

@Watandar

This manosphere or womensphere influencers get their validity from the western audience or those brown people who follow every white trend like gospel's truth and try to apply it in a desi society which operates on an entirely different set of rules and circumstances .

This tikotok strategy could be observed in subcontinental upper middle and elite class but that's still very limited relatively speaking . Basically they create an adversarial attitude between both genders of haves .

I want to watch the sapranos but I have a terrible habit of binging a show to about 70% then getting distracted and never finishing it.

"Verbal agreement was the original nikah, with witnesses but an legal written agreement is a must these days, people can marry someone daughter and after one night claim they never married them or slept with them, people even run away after marriage and deny marriage, all sort of issues.

Anyways back to topic. No person should be supporting the man in the above situation, he just be punished."

@PakAl where did you get this witness clause from ? It's a humble request from me to please find me a Quranic verse which categorically states the presence of witnesses to solmenise the original Nikah .

As for the people/men running away after sleeping with some people's/men daughter , well the daughter could be a culprit too , no ? Slept , robbed and ran away with valuables ? Or either genders can just call it a day on the very next day and send a divorce notice then what you gonna do about that ? If you are concerned about long term marital relationship then it can never be forced upon a couple .
