Sometimes , remaining quiet does not means they are irrelevant , it just means they are observing and making choices in order to maximize their returns

a) They want $$$ Economy routes remained open
b) Hunger for Defence Tech

Even after having one of Asia's Bigest Navy , they play the Damsel in distress act , just to divert attention to North Korea

They are masters of Acquiring power and status

• Either by soft diplomacy
• Aggressive diplomacy , by agreeing to look the other way if some gain comes out of it

Rest assured they are quiet relevant as world's top 5 Economies


The local Sentiment , is influenced by their Local Media , and it's bias or no bias against Muslims is hard to know because I don't follow Japanese TV that much
If Media shows negative aspect , of Muslim communities in middle east conflict , sentiments may be negative etc It's all about control of Media

But their local sentiment is also sometimes demanding "all foreigners" must leave Japan , it's complex

Japanese have always sought , power , and status

After WW2 It is true they suffered humiliation but it was short lived.
They reconstructed their nation - Their Emperor retained his status even after war, they respect their Emperor family as they did before end of WW2

They focused on ...
1- Economy / Pacifist Doctrine

However secretly , behind the Pacifist doctrine they have continued to move their strategic goals (Using threat from North Korea as excuse )

a) Military strength
b) Navy
c) Air-force (Using their manufacturing base and going next level)
d) Space program
e) Nuclear program for Civilian usage

They have quietly manure themselves back levels where they were before World War 1


Sure some bases were given to USA , which they can reclaim anytime they want (if it was a case where they felt like doing it)

Often the Colonizer enjoys a Status above he Locals who are deemed to have lesser human rights or no rights

Japan is not an independent country. It only has nominal independence, but it is effectively a US vassal state and cannot make real foreign policy decisions without the approval of the US. Also its foreign policy stance is directly coordinated with the US.

Japan can never do what Turkey, Saudi Arabia or Malaysia does, they cannot craft their own foreign policies. This is what it means to not be a sovereign state.

Also, Japan peaked in the 80s. It is on a steep decline. Japan back in the 80s was approaching godlike status in tech and wealth. Now it is a nobody in most tech fields. Today, the battle is only between China and the US in most fields of tech and in half of that, China is standing alone at this point.

Going back to the thread , why they want to engage with Europeans more ?
Simple , that is the allure they have in their cartoons or Manga lot's of cool German/French European looking people.

I'm asking this because recently I notice a rising amount of Japanese Youtubers covering the state of affairs of Immigrants in some Western European countries(mainly UK and France), and their immediate desire to want to side with White People against Brown and Black People.

I'm still bitter at Japanese Anime and Games mainly making White People the main characters even if the stories are not set in Japan for many of them(like Resident Evil whose mainline games never had a PoC Protagonist like African-American or South Asian-Westerner), so to see these rising trend of Japanese Youtubers siding with Whites to demonize Brown and Black Immigrants even in real-life issues makes me think that more Japanese are starting to become Racist, Anti-Islam, and White Supremacists.

Those people not only hate diversity in fictional worlds not modeled on Japan, they even hate diversity in real life even when the country is not in Japan, as you can see on this Video here where this Jap always makes racist videos targeting the negative aspects of Muslim Immigrants in the UK as you can watch below :

They just have their own sense of fashion or style

I think the color , is symbolic representation of freedom from their school system which is quite strict and conservative.

Corporate life is also equally strict, every one has to have professional business hair cut. Everyone has to have normal hair color

So in between their highschool life and Work life they have few years where they do things with their hair style or color

Having fancy Hairstyle or color is just their way to show they are not in school or corporate life

People who don't work in Corporate sector of course can have any hair style or color they want , musician , movie artist , general none corporate private sector worker

It isn't surprising that they hate to see immigrants living in Real-Life European Countries, as they hate to include even Black and Brown People as part of the Main Character Roster in Fantasy Anime and Games inspired from Europe even when it's a fantasy world, like they hate diversity and Multiracial/Multicultural countries and only want to see white people in their stories.

Maybe they should have also hated White People for colonizing lands where there once were no Europeans present before like in Americas, AUS, and NZ, eh? But I see Japs only hating on Muslims and Blacks regardless of whether they're talking about their own country or about Europe, and this irks me that I hope the Muslim Countries boycott and ban Japan due to their Racism against People of Darker Skin and their Favoritism of Only White Europeans, which discriminates against and disadvantages Minorities Living in Western Countries... Now I get it why some African-Americans call Asians "White-Adjacent" because these people from East Asia only relate more to Europeans and think any non-White minority in Western countries doesn't belong and they hate us in the guts.
