World Population Review: House Size by Country 2026

According to the "China Population Census Yearbook 2020" published by the National Bureau of Statistics last year, detailed data shows that the average living space per person in Chinese households reached 41.76 square meters (approximately 450 square feet), with an average household living space of 111.18 square meters (approximately 1,197 square feet). The average living space per person in urban Chinese households was 36.52 square meters (approximately 393 square feet).

I am surprised Russian average house size is only listed that small as 58 square meters, considering it's a huge country with lots spaces and not too many people.
