Yarmook-Class Corvette/OPV | Updates & Discussion

FWIW both of these are debatable, both Batch 1 and 2 are able to use damens modules for HADR ASW etc whatevers needed- example pic attached - in terms of ew and sensors etc we dont know but clearly PN is going pretty in on these ships, as higher end vessels so likely wont skimp. If im not mistaken, i dont know for sure if PN even selected a dedicated TAS for anything other than anti torpedo/detection stuff via aselsans hizr, no news on a dedicated tas for actual asw opsView attachment 27221
There are 5 /6 different container type capabilities which can be added depending on the mission

British using not ER version it standard with 25km range I think ER version were Italian navy initiative and made for sales to others not sure if British also adopted Extended range version

now there's MR version too developed for Poland & unconfirmed reports are that MR has more radius/range in comparison to ER version

For 20 years the world was obsessed with range when it came to Air defence missiles. In the past two years the world has had a stark wake up call. The electronics, processing has come such a long way that we intercepting munitions (which started with Iron Dome) has now become the norm, and because you will not see munitions from 100s of kms away, the name of the game has now become rapid response, dependable kill chains. Any where from 40 km to 100 km will be as good as anything, with only a few systems with more range needed to take out launching platforms / ballistic missiles.

Pakistan Navy deployed warship PNS YARMOOK with embarked helo on RMSP for safety & security of SLOCS. PN Ship will undertake independent & combined Ops to achieve global objectives of safe & secure maritime commons.
YARMOOK will call on regional ports for Diplomatic tasks i.a.w Pak foreign policy. PN is committed to ensure freedom of navigation on high seas & safety of SLOCs besides safeguarding Pak's maritime interests.
PN regularly deploy warships in RMSP to ensure Maritime Security.

Video on tweet is old (before people ask why there is still no equipped guns). These equipped at least with their guns (30mm SMASH RCWS, two 12.7 mmSTAMP rcws, what looks like 4 12.7mm/50 cal manned machine gun stations and Phalanx CIWS. Havent seen any pics of them being actually equipped with missiles yet though.

Also no helo. What helo are they using? Z-9? We do not have enough of those and they are old. Hard to fully utilise ship without a modern chopper.

I saw Z-9C in the hanger of PNS Tabook. So by association, batch 1 is using Z-9C
