I know that. This isn't an existential threat to Saudi Arabia. My initial post was regarding a long term take on Saudi leadership.Ballistic missile defense systems are not like a game of space invaders. I think there is some disingenuousness when it comes to discussing layered air-defense systems, their limitations and the threat of drone swarms and multiple missile systems.
But even management of this current flare up is strange. Why aren't safety mechanisms in place, if a drone or missile is fired at Riyadh, I would hope there are immediately safety protocols taken to move people to shelter or undergo safety protocols instead operate as usual. That casualty count from the airport tragedy is very high and would be lower if safety mechanisms were put into place.
In any case my condolences to those innocent people that lost their lives.
Should have worded it differently that's my mistake. It's more observation on resource management of US defense systems/military assets deployed in region since beginning of Gaza war in 2023. It's disproportionately in favor of Israel. The US did not prepare it's Gulf allies well for this war but it did prepare Israel. Note that I don't believe Iran is winning anything and that damage/casualties are part of war.View attachment 218992
This is your own post. You stated US "refused" request to move patriot batteries from Israel to KSA.
