Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

No wonder this is coming from you Falcon29.. You guys are eternal gamblers and I mean you and Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis etc etc.. You are off the same feather..

No calculaitons, tactics and absolutely nothing but just launch a rocket and jump up celebrate without any conventional planning, assessing your enemies before actully attacking and most important not knowing ´´Chose your battles at the time you have advantage´´
Sun Tzu said every battle is won before it starts meaning every battle is own in the preparation, technology gathering phase etc etc but not in the actual war itself.

It is just like that phrase every dog has a day except you guys never know when it is your day but you will miscalculate because you are not more then eternal miscalculators/gamblers and you think This other miscalculators came to your aid in Gaza with rocket firings but no they didn´t it is the once you suspect to be your enemy that managed to stop the conflict and try to help you understand but you just don´t see it because these mullahs are deluding and they are themselves brainless.

No brain cells but eternal miscalculators just look now the houthis could have had a tiny fiefdom in the north but they ruined that for themselves and could lose it all
I am not Hamas, Hezbollah or Houthi's. I'm an ordinary Arab American following ME current events since Arab Spring. Democracy is also not really Hamas, Hezbollah or Houthi's thing. I'm in favor of some semblance of democracy in Arab world to give capable people a chance. But this is a whole different discussion so don't want to derail it.

I have not read any article where KSA asked for batteries to be redeployed from Israel to KSA.

As for "leadership" that is a matter for the people of KSA to decide.
The pool of defense batteries based in the region includes Israel which US could have selected from rather than moving resources out of Europe. Israel seems to have unlimited supply of interceptors compared to other US allies in the region while US allies in region have been on receiving hand of majority of Iranian attacks. Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are facing shortages for interceptors and especially Kuwait. I think we can include US forces as well. The resource management by Trump administration seems strange considering how the war has played out.

Again, I am not really concerned about Donald Trump as that would derail this thread and make it about the US and Iran war, there is already a thread for that.

I am not sure where you are getting this source where KSA reached out to reposition batteries from Israel to KSA. This never happened, the batteries currently deployed in Qatar and KSA are part of CENTCOMs existing commitment:

We know that France, Greece the UK and some other nations have already deployed AAD in Saudi Arabia. You keep saying KSA is facing a shortage of interceptors... NO SHIT... KSA is greater in size than all of Western Europe and has multiple vital installations spread over a large area that need to be prioritized and protected.

Ballistic missile defense systems are not like a game of space invaders. I think there is some disingenuousness when it comes to discussing layered air-defense systems, their limitations and the threat of drone swarms and multiple missile systems.

Don't twist my words. I didn't say Saudi Arabia requested anything from Israel. I said that the US government itself refuses to allocate the necessary resources to those on receiving end of attacks for a war that Israel started. There is a disproportionate amount of Patriots/Thaads in Israel and US Navy interceptors which would have been better served intercepting Iranian missiles fired at Arabian Peninsula region were instead wasted on Iranian missiles heading towards Israel despite Israel having it's own Arrow System developed and produced by/with the US.

Yet the troll in you lives on.

That is a very keen observation. You can come to my Urs each year and say this till someone replaces you. Also you will be responsible to keep a lamp always illuminated during alternate Thursday nights.

The Egyptians and the Saudis have a common opponent. The Saudis have equipment/logistics/ proximity and the Egyptians have troops. It's a win/ win/win. I’m surprised the Egyptians have not already got involved Red Sea trade effects them more in loss revenue than the rest.

It’s that Yemeni moon landscape terrain simply favours Houthis like Afghanistan for conventional armies impossible to take and secure ground. I would think Saudis to continuously send Jets& drones to monitor and harass Houthris 24/7. Helping Yemeni troops on the ground. To push Houthis back.

I know that. This isn't an existential threat to Saudi Arabia. My initial post was regarding a long term take on Saudi leadership.

But even management of this current flare up is strange. Why aren't safety mechanisms in place, if a drone or missile is fired at Riyadh, I would hope there are immediately safety protocols taken to move people to shelter or undergo safety protocols instead operate as usual. That casualty count from the airport tragedy is very high and would be lower if safety mechanisms were put into place.

In any case my condolences to those innocent people that lost their lives.

This is your own post. You stated US "refused" request to move patriot batteries from Israel to KSA.
Should have worded it differently that's my mistake. It's more observation on resource management of US defense systems/military assets deployed in region since beginning of Gaza war in 2023. It's disproportionately in favor of Israel. The US did not prepare it's Gulf allies well for this war but it did prepare Israel. Note that I don't believe Iran is winning anything and that damage/casualties are part of war.

Where is Trump ? He started war that was largely coordinated with Israel and left US allies exposed. Iran is attacking oil tankers every day now in SOH and Houthi's are on an airport targeting Blitz in Saudi Arabia.

They've just targeted Damamm airport again. Trump is making midterms excuses as if Republicans have a chance. It is no more than an excuse.

Trump has put US Arab allies in a worse position than before the war because he refuses to escalate and win the war or refuses to come to an settlement of any kind for now.

I am not excusing Houthi's or Iran btw. In Iran threads I get attacked by Iranians as well and here I got attacked for saying things people don't wanna hear. People need to understand saying something you may not agree with does not make someone part of any camp or suggest they have a dog in the fight.

Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation:

An attack targeting King Fahd Airport in Dammam, and work is underway to assess the damages.

According to an official statement

The Yemeni Armed Forces, affiliated with the Third Military Region, announced the destruction of vehicles belonging to Houthi militias and the targeting of their barracks south of Marib, as part of "Yemen Dawn" operations.

It is rather difficult to find reliable reporting on X for this conflict as discussion around it is mostly bot driven. Trying to find some reliable sources to get a better picture.
