Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

@Irfan Baloch
Many Pakistani have this mentality of ‘subhanallah! look at these wonderful Rich Arabs! Allah has blessed them with so much wealth and status!’

I’ve heard it from members in my own family, and I am not convinced that the root cause is always Arab vs Persian or Sunni vs Shia - those same relatives would then also demean and ridicule the Palestinians!

It never made sense to me, other than that these Pakistanis continue to cling to South Asian class systems, and the GCC Arabs with their bling and gaudy displays of wealth are the kind of ‘class’ these people aspire to.

Add in the fact that the holiest sites in Islam are located there and the Prophet was an Arab from the region, and you end up combining religious/historic reverence and respect with enormous wealth.

The final product - this rather servile attitude we see.

But when generations see little to no substantive change at home, and continue to lose hope of ever seeing change, attitudes like these towards a people considered ‘successful’ and ‘our kin’ are perhaps just a way for a people to continue to have hope.

Yemenis historically have remained client state of persia, protecting their interests, nothing new here. The reason you read traditions glorifying yemenis and cursing death upon arabs.

Substantiate that...

The zaidi Imamate remained a state for over a thousand years. Vilayat Faqih materialized recently. A totally new doctrine or theology altogether. The quiet school, mainstream Twelver Shi'i belief still exists in it's native Najaf. Heck, it wasn't a state religion till Shah Ismail made it one just a few centuries ago ... Persia or Iran wasn't even majority Shi'i back then...

However that would be post Islam Yemen... prior to that just over 50 years of Persian rule exists, ever. Even Romans tried... in fact Abraha was a Christian, a slave of a roman merchant and when became the king, was an ally of Roman Empire. In fact, Yemen had no reason to accept Persian suzerainty... they were Christian or Jewish... Jewish tribes ruled their parts.

The history of Yemen is extremely rich..

Taiz is what the houthis are focusing on at the moment

It seems after Taiz, Houthis will focus elsewhere but for now that is the battle where resources are sent towards. Other areas are not areas of focus or concern as Houthis believe they can recapture any potential lost territory with ease after taking a major city.

Heroes of Taiz:
Taiz is not Sana'a, you Houthi terrorist militia
The tribes of Taiz are not like the tribes in Sana'a.. In Taiz, you will see nothing but the Day of Judgment

( Confirmed from Ma'rib )

New field advance for our forces in the Raghwan Directorate, Ma'rib Governorate, today Wednesday, where the offensive military operations have begun since dawn today.

Our armed forces are 85 kilometers away from Sana'a International Airport.

The terrorist Houthi militia claims a siege, and practices it against Yemenis with Iranian missiles and drones; it strikes their capabilities and infrastructure, and targets their travel outlets and livelihoods.

In the past hours, the militia targeted:
• Aden Airport with a ballistic missile.
• Al-Rayyan Airport in Al-Mukalla with three ballistic missiles.
• The sponge factory in Birbasha, Taiz.

This is the militia's approach: whenever it is broken on the battlefield, it pours its terrorism and aggression onto the lives of citizens, and these aggressions will not grant it an exit; Operation "Dawn of Yemen" continues until its objectives are achieved.
