KSA seeks Air defense aid not militarily or boots on the ground. They would have put their forces on the ground if there was a need for it.
there is a large forces already fighting the houthis and there is not a single saudi ground forces.
On the ground it is 1v1 and that will never change
Initially, Saudi Arabia relied on the Yemeni government forces it backed to fight the Houthi rebels—but they failed, even losing the capital.
Subsequently, Saudi Arabia entered the fray directly, yet this still failed to alter the situation.
Now, Turkey and Pakistan have deployed military forces to intervene and defend Saudi Arabia. It is also reported that Egypt and the United Kingdom have joined the effort to protect the Saudis...
If Saudi Arabia is as formidable as you claim, why does it require protection from these external forces?
It is widely acknowledged internationally that the Houthi forces are backed by Iran. Yet, to date, Iran has not engaged in any overt, direct intervention in the war in Yemen; its involvement has been limited, at most, to providing weaponry or military advisors. In contrast, Saudi Arabia enjoys the open, direct military support of a multinational coalition.
Bear in mind that Saudi Arabia is internationally recognized as a major power in the Middle East—ranking highly on global indices in terms of land area, military might, and economic strength. The Houthis, by contrast, are merely a guerrilla insurgent group—fighters who often go into battle wearing nothing more than sandals. By any metric, they are in no way comparable to Saudi Arabia; indeed, no mainstream nation in the world today even recognizes the Houthis as a sovereign state.
Yet, the outcome on the battlefield is deeply ironic!
If Saudi Arabia wishes to restore belief in its genuine military prowess, it must demonstrate this through concrete action, not empty slogans. It is profoundly ironic that, in a conflict characterized by such a vast disparity in strength, the supposedly dominant side finds itself having to scramble for assistance from allies.
Okay, I reread it again. Yes, Saudi Arabia is not a very powerful entity in itself.
Some people do not think so. They believe that Saudi Arabia is very powerful!
