Z-10 ME/P deliveries Updates: Pakistan Army Aviation.

The first one with indigenous engine was just delivered, but even so, Bell 412M draws on insanely more scale. Also helps that the PAA knows how to also support it via the 412EP.

Have you read properly of your own article posted? It says the current delivered one with 70% domestic content, and WILL ( as usual, future tense) increase to 80% , if domestic engine is installed.

Yes I think the Chinese Z10B and Pakistan ‘s Z10ME MMW are different

China is using it for hunter kill roles with ASEA radar

Pakistans seems to use for COIN / mountain roles with EO/ IR

If Pakistans starts developing this area and adds ASEA side panels they could be into a winning design

Could take anthers few years in my opinion

Regarding AESA on a helicopter. I remember a scene from an alien invasion movie (dont know if it was independence day or battle los angeles) in which they use a helicopter with a big radar on front to block frequencies emitting from the mother ship.

Helicopters can be used this way too. If a country cant afford an airborne platform worth hundreds of millions of dollars, they can use a helicopter with AESA airborne and just stationary in air.

But then again, these days turkey offers drones like Akinci which do come with AESA and can remain in air longer than a helicopter. So.... yay.

This will probably give our planners another reason to re-evaluate the scale of the purchase of these manned gunships (Z-10s)

I don't think this new development nullifies the significance of attack helicopters, at least not yet. But it certainly merits adapting to this new dynamic at both ends, i.e., adding capability to halos to protect them from such attacks as well as developing drones capable of striking halos. Having said that, I do often question the future of expensive war machines given their susceptibility to relatively cheaper innovations like drones and tactical missiles.

I am very much looking forward to seeing PA's Z-10ME attack helicopter battle group like this one soon.

More likely later than sooner. But you'll likely see a similar picture.
