They've been surveilling the Indo-Pak coast since NOTAMs were announced.how did they know about exact test timing?
Once a two falcons we're having a morning walk when suddenly an F-16 blasted past them. One of the falcon said in an amazed tone "wow! What a speed!".The visible trail is consistent with HGV, possibly even DF-17.
Alternative hypothesis: AI controlled aerobatic display by drones (cover story)![]()

The other replied in a dismissive tone "come on Joe! You would also fly at that speed if your tail was on fire."
After World War 2, the Korean War, Suez Crisis , and Vietnam war, the only recent successful marine amphibious landings to "capture and hold territory " were the Falklands operations by the UK in 1982. The operation was costly with the UK losing 6 warships .And the absolute zero ground cover while landing the marines onto the shore. In the present day, you'd also need a few squadrons of jet fighters alongside a fleet of destroyers and missile cruiser to subdue enemy defenses to even think about landing any marines on shore, unless of course you're assaulting Maldives.

Amphibious Marine Landed Operations in the Ukraine War :
Recent attempts by Russia to capture the Black Sea coastline beyond the Kinburn Spit and take Odessa have been disastrous with heavy losses, Even Snake Island though briefly captured had to be abandoned in the face of Ukrainian coastal battery missile attacks. All Russian amphibious landing crafts based in Crimea were sunk or damaged by Ukrainian sea drones
Likewise, multiple repeated Ukrainian amphibious marine operations to cross the Dnieper river at Kherson, and Zaporizhia ( from river islands opposite the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant ) have been complete disasters. Each time the Russians easily detected the nighttime assault using night vision equipment and drones, sinking the entire fleet of motor gunboats, zodiac rafts and amphibious IFV ( including M113 ) , Using ATGMs Kornets, 12.7 mm Kord machine guns, and batteries of quick firing ZSU 23 mm anti-aircraft guns used as coastal artillery, the Russians killed tens of thousands of Ukrainian marines, leaving a gruesome sight with the river channels and marshes choked with bloated bodies still floating wearing their life jackets. The smaller Ukrainian attempts to capture the land corridor from Mariupol to Crimea across the narrow causeway have been equally horrifying disasters.
Conclusion: Unless there is complete air superiority and suppression of enemy coastal/river bank defenses, no marine or amphibious landing operations can be successful. It is even more difficult if the local population is hostile to the invasion as the Russians found out during attempts to capture strategic points in the Danube estuary.
We used Armour, Regiment plus strength, here in 1965.Sit Creek is not meant for armour
Yes, after the MARCOS " Marine Buffaloes" were losing control of the Jaffna coastline they conducted a Diwali day massacre of the civilian population as a vengeance against local resistance.Exactly!
However, has anyone ever tried an amphibious assault riding on the back of Indian River Buffalo? I mean buffalos are stealthy. Just curious because I have a feeling a very known "Supa Powa" may try it![]()

The Indian Navy marines trying to hold Jaffna in Sri Lanka (1987) after an initially successful amphibious landing ( against zero coastal defenses) also found out that holding territory against a hostile population is impossible.
For real? They assaulted riding on buffalos?Yes, after the MARCOS " Marine Buffaloes" were losing control of the Jaffna coastline they conducted a Diwali day massacre of the civilian population as a vengeance against local resistance.
On 21 October 1987, when Hindus here were observing Diwali, IPKF stormed the largest hospital in the peninsula and massacred 70 people, which included patients, staff and doctors. Does the incident sound familiar today?

If the Indian assault on Sir Creek is successful then the cleansing of the local population ( 93 km deep) ia absolutely certain as the invaders will try to stamp out local resistance.
Have you noticed there are no Bollywood movies about the Indian "Peace Keeping Force " operations in Sri Lanka in 1987 .(Let's not tell the Bollywood battalions about all this)
