Backing someone to power through illegitimate means such as current fake mandate PDM govt and backing someone who simply came into power through legitimate votes is VERY different things. 🙄

It's not legitimate when army and generals get involved in politics, and this is exactly what they did, to bring PTI to power, the project failed to their liking and they reversed everything.

PTI supporters always wanted fresh leadership but the reality of Pakistani politics was different. For decades votes were tied to baradari and family names rather than principles or ideology. That’s why bringing in electables like Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi was necessary to push PTI into the mainstream.
I think the difference was that PTI at least tried to break the cycle. It gave opportunities to people outside the dynastic mold like Usman Buzdar that other parties would never allow.

It was more to do with 150MNAs MPAs who now all have left PTI, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Javid Hashmi and a few others are decent politicians. Pti followers were not happy but IK mentioned this and said you vote for me. No doubt PTI gave chance to the youth, gave people hope, the youth were all Pakistan zindabad and united.

Imran Khan never "asked" military to do that. Both prior to 2013 and 2018 general elections, he campaigned for his PTI in every major and non-major city of Pakistan. If he only needed military’s "backing" to come into power through illegitimate means (PDM govt model), then why the heck did he even campaign like crazy in public as he did?

IK is serving as the defacto Mujib for KP - and that is not dawning upon the Generals that by not letting him out they are fanning more ethnonationalist fires instead of worrying about one guy who loves being on containers.
The kind of systematic rigging military had to do to "defeat" this one guy who 'loves being on containers' post 2024 general elections speaks of itself.

Because back then military rule was finished after Mushraff and also military tried to protect its reputation. I can give you many examples. Even during military rule General Mushraff imposed emergency rule when Justice Iftikhar Chaudary wouldn't listen, why couldn't mushraff just twist his arm? Or remove him from power. He could do it but it would have harmed military reputation so he tried to use law against Chaudary and even that failed, the Pmln PPP JUI and the rest pressurised Musharraf to leave army and he had to do it and slowly then removed him from power. He could have stayed but didnt as it was too damaging.

General Raheel sharif pressurised the parliament to pass military courts legislation, why couldn't he arm twist the courts to prosecute the terorrists? Or used military judges to prosecute terorrists?

The point is the military didnt want to directly get involved in electrol engineering, slowly PTI rise happened but after IK removal, and the attacks on army, through social media and other means, the army was trapped, they had no choice but to do what they did to get control back.

Generals can back whoever they want but that doesn’t win elections. Power comes from support on the ground and that’s what makes politicians viable in the first place. Shahid Afridi might be extremely popular, but how do you make him prime minister if nobody votes for him? Establishment brought Mustafa Kamal back but he failed to replace MQM in Karachi, so that means GHQ doesn't have a magic wand that turns random people into prime minsters.

If you want a legitimate change then the favourite politicians must be able to sell himself to the public. Dr Tahir ul Qadri, a professor was the best but he couldn't sell himself to the public but IK an ex cricketer did. Nawaz Sharif and Benazir were also loved when they came to power, back in 1990s both were big fishes with big support. Nawaz Sharif was military backed and Benazir came as the daughter of Bhutto, mother Teresa.

Mian sher lol

What's scary is it's all similar slogans, every youth at certain age does it, finds a leader and goes all lovey dovey. In my village people used to say Be Be Nazir Nazir, you cannot imagine the support she had.

I pray when I am old I don't see the youth doing the same with Bilawal Bhutto or Maryam Nawaz. I will be suicidal. I

Imagine hearing
meri jaan meri jaan
Mera dil Mera dil
Bilawal Bilawal
Lol

Our elite/Judge/Generals comfortable with corrupts feudal. Zardari-Nawaz-Fazlo coalition. Now they are more worried who will take over PTI after Imran Khan .....lollll....Now they are tying to raise PTI-2 from failed members of Istaqam e Pakistan party dead horse.

Look at this foolishness. Who needs enemies when you have retards like these. How can Pakistan grow when you have people attempting to disrupt progress?

What next? Sanctions on Pakistan if they don't bend over for India? Where do we draw the line.

I agree now overseas must not have a vote. You must live and work in Pakistan to vote.

AIPAC's biggest pawn in Pakistan is Munira Whiskey himself...and pray tell which member of congress of any repute or influence is not on AIPAC's payroll...those peddling tiresome yahoodi agent libel grovel at the feet of Zionist stalwarts and ideologues like Blinkin, Trump et al and secretly meet with Israelis in Sharam El Sheikh...

And no, it's not just KP. Punjab too supports IK ... And while Punjab may lack a militant or tribal culture, its sheer size and immense soft power alone have the potential to upend the establishment in the longer run... a reality many still fail to grasp...
I'm afraid it will only remain just that, a potential of a very low kind...

One would have thought after the TLP massacre, the masses will finally be pushed over the edge, that there would be a widespread rebellion amongst people of Punjab. Alas, now the company jamedars have conclusively proven to everyone, no matter the level of brutality or ruthless crack down there will be no popular uprising against their centuries old authoritarianism.

A family court order from LA county is good enough for me. That is how she came to live with her two half-brothers.

Some will prefer not to believe it unless they had witnessed IK's act of penetration themselves, but that is up all four of them.

Not my problem.
The one where he didn't submit blood for a paternity test. ok cool.

So that means all the rest of lying politicians who are currently in power never made any mistakes? Why aren’t they also in prison like Imran Khan? 🙄

Most savvy politicians know when to fold . The ego of ex-cricketers-turned-politicians-who-think-they-are-geniuses cannot comprehend the concept of being wrong, and double down at the wrong time. And then they pay the price of their stupidity.

You’re absolutely right because all history is written by the victors. Failed revolutionaries weren’t alive to tell the tale. 🙄

Revolutions, however, can and do succeed with widespread support of the people, no matter who writes the narrative. Reading some history might help here, BTW.

Some members are either young or new. @VCheng used to criticise involvement of army in politics on the old forum but majority of us considered army generals as Sadiq and Amin, we wanted them to remove Nawaz and Zardari, to get involved in politics, support IK rise to power, and get rid of the corrupt. It was the original plan aswell until some major disagreements took place and everything was then reversed. From old Pakistan to new and then back to old lol.

The majority hated me when I kept saying that Naya Pakistan will prove to be just like Purana Pakistan.

And here we are yet again. :D

You know what is is really, really cool? That there are MANY ways to conduct a DNA test without blood. The LA Family Court made certain that the child, after the death of her mother, was released to the custody of her father. 100%.
