Do you know how much a KLJ-7A radar system costs?1. All jeffs to have AESA.
2. All to have pl15.
Is it worth spending that much money to upgrade those old JF-17s?

is it the same on blk 3 or for new jet may be pfx
my bad . i thought its for pfx as its from NSTPF16 simulator. I reckon the symbology (thanks DCS!) on the MFDs. Looks like a low fidelity procedure and process training tool.
How much are they ?Do you know how much a KLJ-7A radar system costs?

Putting integration costs aside, when the air frame wears out, porting over the avionics and radar from one air frame (and older block 2 JF-17 with the KLJ-7A upgrade) into a new PFX air frame, justify these costs?Do you know how much a KLJ-7A radar system costs?

IMHO, This is what PAF is actually pursuing. No one used word STEALTH and PFX in same sentence during IDEAS 2024 where it was revealed. "4.5+" gen was words used by PAF representative there. Conventional aircraft are here to stay beyond 2050. USAF is churning out F-15EX and F-16 Block 70/72 for a reason. No country can afford to have its entire fleet consisting on 5/6 Gen fighters. Both US and China are producting conventional fighters as well along with next gen aircraft. Even logically, PAF will have to get full command on building a JF-17 type aircraft with local systems and modifications before being qualified to do anything ambitious.why not go even easier.
Why dont we just bring the JF-17 in house...
we order nuts, bolts, seals etc. Why dont we start making as much as we can at home. modifying, designing, etc.
its front looks like a mig29 and the engine side looks like f16ish while with the paintjob it looks like a mirage 2000...jeff doesnt look inherently bad..it just have to be more sleekIf only the JF17 really did look like that.
A simple evaluation method:How much are they ?
I bought a great PC 14 years ago, and it's still running well. It meets most of my needs, but it can't run some of the latest AAA games.Putting integration costs aside, when the air frame wears out, porting over the avionics and radar from one air frame (and older block 2 JF-17 with the KLJ-7A upgrade) into a new PFX air frame, justify these costs?
In my analog, I upgrade the graphics card to the latest specs, and still let it live out on that older rig until the new rig is ready. I gave an option 3, if it is technically possible.A simple evaluation method:
What is the unit price of the JF-17B1? What is the unit price of the JF-17B3?
Which core components have been upgraded in the JF-17B3 compared to the JF-17B1?

I have two options:
1. Continue using it and not play AAA games;
2. Replace the entire PC with a latest-generation model to play AAA games;
Do you think this PC is worth upgrading parts of it?
Maybe, You can check the following:In my analog, I upgrade the graphics card to the latest specs, and still let it live out on that older rig until the new rig is ready. I gave an option 3, if it is technically possible.
It is the same as a SABR upgrade on the F-16. That radar could outlive the air frame and make its way into a new air frame down the line with better cooling and other system to make full use of its features.
