Methinks Iran should start pre-positioning types of Naval Mines that can lay on the ocean floor then suddenly activate to propel upwards to explode beneath hostile ships. Iran must also start releasing dozens of swarms of Underwater Drones that can be programmed or controlled to start attacking USN ships once hostilities break out.

This way, there will be multiple angles of attack so the USN doesn't only have to counter Iran's ASBMs and anti-ship cruise missiles. Attack them from all vectors to overwhelm and exterminate all enemy sailors.
