What a hollow man this Trump is....I mean one day, it's enrichment, the next is ballistic missiles, and another day is executions.....what a clown, what a nightmare to deal with this man child.

Still....if you were to study Trump, he will insist on a quick action, not a prolonged conflict.
I still think this is bluster.
If I'm wrong....his administration will be finished in the US.
When the economy gets rocked.....MAGA will be done.
I just hope Iran is planning, and planning with China and Russia to turn this into a Vietnam for him.
If they can't then they better just fold the cards and give it up.
They need to talk about this....it's either a slow death or going out with a blaze of glory.......the 2nd option is actually better for Iran, but they need to go all out.....no half measures. They need to shock the energy market, not just mine the Strait. They need to think about UAE's gas terminal and pipeline. Don't even bother with the empty US bases.....go for Israel and the Israeli outpost....that's it.

As I have repeatedly said in this thread: Netanyahu is not going to stop neutralizing Iran as long as Trump is the President!!! I had paid attention to what the Israel-firsters in America and what the Israelis themselves were rooting for in the 2024 elections and it was unmistakable what they wanted: A President Trump over a President Harris. Even the usually liberal Jews in America, who after four decades, voted the least for the Democratic Party in the 2024 elections.
What you are seeing in the Middle East is because Israel's own man is in the White House with a level of support which surpassed even Biden's support.

I am surprised no one posted this here. Reuters is generally a credible source. God help us all if there is a frontal war!! The front page of Reuters:

If rookies like us here know what you said above then the Iranians too know. But the problem is that this is not America's war: It is Israel's war and for the Israeli interests. While every American President since 1967 had supported Israel, the level of support by Biden and now Trump is unprecendent. This would NOT be happening if today Trump dies of a heart attack and Vance become the President. You can bookmark this. Which brings me to my main point: The so-called American vaunted checks and balances are in tatters as one man--just one man and his personal biases are leading to huge decisions affecting tens of millions of people.
What we have in the White House is another Hitler but a senile Hitler.

If Iran doesn't resist now then it will be another nation to be fragmented and bombed by Israel at will. Netanyahu wants nothing less than that for Iran.
 
To re-emphasize: As long as Netanyahu is the PM of Israel and as long as Trump is the POTUS, the threat of a frontal, devastating war on Iran will remain. On that , we have about three more years of Trump and I don't know how long more the world has to suffer Netanyahu: He has more than the 9 proverbial lives. Things don't look good at all for tens of millions of people with the current combination of leaders in Tel Aviv and Washington.

But as far as I can tell, a frontal attack on Iran will be devastating for America's regional interests along with Trump's political standing in America, and quite likely really bad for Israel itself.

Indeed.
But as I said above, if rookies like us know, then the Iranian officials must know that too.
Trump is a bully who has gotten away with pressurising Colombia, Venezuela, the EU, India and several other nations to get concessions from them. But here what he is asking of Iran is impossible for Iran to give: Iran's ballistic missiles system.
I wonder what Netanyahu whispered into Trump's reluctant ears when Netanyahu came to Washington just a day or two ago?!!

Ok, they will bomb Iran weeks long then what if Iran still retains its capability to fire his own missiles?
If this happens Iran has no other choice then to burn everything around itself.
