Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I was telling someone that if you have something very precious and important, you keep it under tight security. What I mean is, if a thief can steal that thing from you, or if a gangster comes and takes it away by force, you'd need protection.

It’s the same for Iran. They have valuable gas and oil reserves, along with other minerals and resources all of which need to be secured. To protect these assets, they need proper weapons. If they don’t have the means to defend themselves, bullies, gangsters, and thieves will try to steal what’s theirs.

So, one must understand: if Iran wants to maintain control over its reserves, resources, and history, they must have something that guarantees the protection of their wealth.

I believe it is time for every country in region. They must not support separatists in each other countries if they want to survive. Otherwise tomorrow this story will be in Pakistan with blouch separatelists

IMHO, Trump is not going to attack Iran. He has a razor thin margin in the legislative branch. Any unprovoked attack on Iran is not supported by public opinion. Besides, the current administration will not risk any US casualties so worst case we're looking at long range stand off munitions. I believe the administration is posturing or waiting for a false flag justification that will turn public opinion. I personally don't want hostilities between our nations and I'm hopeful the American public are finally waking up to the fact that this hostility is engineered by a third party.

Saw some videos last night and the main take away were:
1) Per credible Alastair Crooke: China is sharing satellite info with Iran showing the American deployments and that Iran is going to fire its missile if/when it sees an actual attack being launched.
2) Iran is more united than given credit for and they will fight like hell if a war is imposed and have wisely used resources in missiles, drones, and space program, something only Pakistan does in the regional Muslim world.
3) Trump is caught in a bad place with the deployments: If he attacks then huge risks to his Presidency and if he doesn't then those in the MIC, Zionist lobbies, his big donors will not be kind to him.

frankly i think this will backfire on the israelis and americans as iran also last time united against their attacks

Monarchists are loud but i do not think they outnumber the current regime's supporters seeing the Shah was a bigger oppresser then khamenei

What advice of Scott Ritter? That to lay low until the Trump admin leaves power? That was what he used to say several months ago, I don't know what he says now.
But I think events have gone to the point of no return: One way or another, now or later, Netanyahu is going to try to neutralize the Iranian missile threat and no amount of appeasement by Iran, short of giving up the lethality and the reach of its Iranian missile program, is going to remove the threat.
Scott is wrong if he is still parroting the nukes as part of his solutions.

Iran lost its post 1979 gains in early 2025 when the three milia fronts bordering Israel folded. This point really needs to be understood to understand what's happening now. The initiative is with Israel since early 2025 and no 'strategic patience' etc is going to help. Things worked, until they stopped working for Iran.

Yes, it is eventually just one person, Mr. Trump, who is going to decide. He may even ignore JD Vance and Tulsi Gabbart who are senior members of his admin. A great con artist, a former media star, Mr. I know it all, the greatest leader of a democracy. Just one person's biases, his ego, and his vulnerabilities. Some 'democracy', my a$$.

And this is another post in last few pages where this Razin Caine guy is mentioned, which makes me think there maybe some truth in some in American military brass resigning in case of a full fledged war against Iran. Similar things were said by either Col. Lawrence Wilkerson or Larry C. Johnson a few years ago when the Israel-Gaza war was raging and Netanyahu wanted to attack Iran to make Hezbollah stop against Israel. Both Lawrence and Larry have backgrounds in American security establishment. Per them, the then Def. Sec. Lloyd Austin had given a firm warning to Netanyahu to not attack Iran.
 
Iran must keep "finger on trigger" alert levels at all times. Must remain alert day or night, Sehri or Aftaar timings. If many military personal / leaders get busy during Sahoor or aftaar than its a golden window for americans which they can utilize.

There's no off-ramp here for US now. They will not go without doing any sort of strikes. Strikes could be limited or weeks long that is another debate. But Iran must do all preparations considering worst case scenarios.
 
Do Iranian missile boats come into equation in this conflict? Iran likely has 100s of missile boats but what's the range of those boats and whats the range of the missiles onboard those boats? If Iran deploy those boats then I assume these should be accompanied by boats for limited air defense (like AA guns, shoulder fired SAMs ) as US can use gunship helis / A-10s against those boats

I imagine it is equally difficult for the American fleet to be in those ships for a long time; already some reporting big toilet issues on one air craft carrier.
