I don't believe that the Americans even contemplate that. Continuous airstrikes might do the job for them.
They can try continuous strikes until they run out of missiles
The U.S itself is a military behemoth, but the U.S is on the opposite side of the world it can only project so much power
So once the carriers and support ships run short they will need to dock and their is no safe space in the region,
Diego Garcia is a 3-4 day sail, then time to stock and then 3-4 day sail back and that's if you don't count how tired the crew will be and any rest time in between
The same with the interceptors, at the moment their are multiple assets trying to process Israel
But if iran can keep going then their comes a point where Iran will have free pick of targets
The real question is how many missiles does Iran have
Is all manufacturing of missiles secure and under ground
For Israel and U.S it's a race to try and force Iran to submit and destroy as many TELS and missiles as they can before they themselves become too tired
Even the journey to and from Iran is massive for pilots
All Iran has to do is play for time
