They chose KMT first, for over 3 decades.Anyway, since they chose to support Mao and CCP, it is their karma and that of their descendants.

Yup blown up to pieces by the lancet . You haven't heard much crowing this day in the Western press about the efficacy of Himar for obvious reasonThe HIMARS got more combat experience than the entirety of the PLA.

Higher per capita wise, that's what China wants.Major challenge in China not the USA
AI has not reached that level and even if it does less humans mean smaller economy
Back in high school, I learned to fly in a Cessna 152 so by the time I joined the USAF, I had all the basics of flight down. The thing with experience is that the more you gain the more you are forced to think about details. And if you have no experience, you should rely on those who do have to give you those details. Expansion of one's mind, and all that stuff. I was invited to come to PDF back in 2009 and since then, I found there is a high degree of contempt for experience here.Yah, the guy is oversimplifying what is actually a very complex operation. China is lucky that he is not in charge of the planning of the PLA
Taiwan was our 'unsinkable carrier' during the Cold War, now China want to make the island the same for them. Do not blame them one bit.Maybe, but I don't think the strategic value of Taiwan is TSMC alone. Capture the Island, and the PLA could venture past the 1st Island chains.
As for the cost, never underestimate how far are politicians willing to go to save their career at the expense of national misery (short and long term). Not only for China but U.S politicians as well.

Here is detailed account of PRC's involvement in the Vietnam War at the height of the Vietnam War China sent 32000 men of which 1100 men died and 3200 wounded. China sent aid worth 320 million Yuan that today probably worth billion of dollar. But the most important aid was to send construction worker to repair war damages and free North Vietnam to send troop to the south. I hope young Vietnamese watch this video and stop worshipping the West! Fortunately, older generation of Vietnamese remember this act of generosity. Even the military because they know firsthand. There is unhappy period in the relationship but it is now a forgotten time
I mean China did this for itw own security because during the Cold War, China aim was to secure her perimeter . But without this help is it doubtful that Vietnam would have won the Civil war

Vietnam hates China because they want to be independent. Else sooner or later, they will get absorbed, the same with Korea. They will forever hate Chinese because their independence from China requires it. Otherwise, sooner or later, Vietnam will be re-integrated back to China.

Here is the detail. China's arms shipments to Vietnam included 270,000 guns, over 10,000 pieces of artillery, 200 million bullets of different types, 2.02 million artillery shells, 15,000 wire transmitters, 5,000 radio transmitters, over 1,000 trucks, 15 planes, 28 naval vessels, and 1.18 million sets of military uniforms." It was China's ...
