Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Not surprised. Things have changed a bit since BAT21.

NYT times says he had a communication device and was in contact and receiving instructions from rescue team

Babak says CIA used its spy satellites to find him hiding in crevice

Maybe one day the truth will come out…

There's no doubt the WSO had a communications device.

You probably do, because I never said Iran was losing this war or you were responsible for what happens on the ground. And as a matter of fact, it was you who started this futile discussion with me, not the other way around.

I was simply referring to a very obvious fact that the mere idea of infiltrating deep into Iran's territory without a single KIA emboldens Trump to launch a ground invasion of Iran.
My bad. I don't take the threat of a Land invasion seriously at this point. The U.S doesn't have the Troops needed nor the public support for such an endeavor. Not to mention the time they would need to plan and train up their forces. Over all Trump might try to pull off a Highly publicised stunt like taking over an Island but it will end up being costly for him.

Definitely, not looking good for Iran. It's disappointing say the least.

That Reza guy is a hack.

It is very easy to undermine a sustained assault that is purposefully constructed with honed skills and years of expertise.
No defending force without the parameter set can do much about it... because these are matched with superior and targeted fire. However, given enough time and experience the defense can start preparing better... have cover fire and snipers that can start taking apart the assault. In this case it turns out the area was equally remote for both the US and Iranians. Again the fundamental advantage for Iran is home turf... it can regroup and sustain longer than anyone dropped with a task at hand.

But projecting strength away from the homeland is DIFFICULT
True. Using sports analogy, the US military have been the 'Visitor' team since the end of WW II. Unfortunately, the US military as a 'Visitor' is NOT what you want. Desert Shield/Storm, to date, is the only transhemispheric power projection by any military.

tbh it was a waste, the pilot isnt going to be flying any aircraft and will probably go on disability. If I were in charge of CENTCOM I would've just left him there.
Propaganda value my friend, Mr. Trump doesn't care about the single pilot or airman, there are confirmed reports of 100s of US casualties on US bases all around the GCC all for the sake of Netanyahu, but Trump doesn't even acknowledge or honor their sacrifice, he doesn't care.

The U.S. lost 52 fixed wing aircraft and 23 helicopters in the Gulf War. In the Iraq war the U.S. lost nearly 150 helicopters. Losses have actually been at a minimum both from Iranian fire and friendly fire thus far.
Higher due to Kuwaiti fire.

What is being lost in all this, is that ALLEGEDLY. US forces used a remote Iranian air base to land at and stage this whole operation.

Which if true….would be embarrassing. Not sure what remote air bases exist close enough to crash site.
If they used a remote air base for their operation then why did they have to destroy a pair of C-130s that they got stuck in the mud?
