Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Iran can not abandon Lebanon and Palestine. This war needs a resolution on all fronts, or else the war will inevitably come back to Iran. But next time with the moral and strategic disadvantage of all its allies having been abandoned and severely battered.

Time to close the strait of Hormuz again. This time let it remain closed, and Iran should dash for a credible nuclear deterrent.
There is no other way with this level of savagery from the type of enemies the AoR is fighting.

I'm ok with US troops staying on the sidelines of the Ukraine war, and letting Ukrainian govt forces get clobbered in east Ukraine.

No, the US lost against Iran. We lost badly.
Correct. The US failed to achieve all of its publicly stated objectives and destroyed its image as the "security provider" in the Mideast. $40 billion wasted and thousands of precious lives destroyed.

Here are some articles about it.

War is not necessarily a win-lose situation; it can also be a lose-lose or a win-win scenario. Whether Iran fails does not prove whether the United Staes succeeds.

You can talk about what the United States has gained and lost from this war. Only in this way can we correctly determine whether the United States has won.

Translated: In defense of Lebanon and in response to the violation of the ceasefire after the resistance committed to it and for whoever the enemy commits to it, the resistance targeted the Manara settlement with missiles, affirming the continuation of the response until the aggression stops.

Not everywhere though

If Israel keeps attacking Hezbollah’s before than Hezbollah needs to fight back and if Irans not in its corner which I’m hoping they will be but if they’re not they’re going to have to show the Arab world that the little guy is sometimes the toughest guy on the block

MAJOR BREAKING:

Pakistan just said it directly.

The ceasefire included Lebanon.

Not implied. Not assumed. Not lost in translation.

Included.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister put it in the announcement. In writing. With U.S. involvement.

And now Israel is bombing Beirut. And Vance calls it a “reasonable misunderstanding.”

And Netanyahu says Lebanon was never part of the deal.

Someone is lying.

Can you pronounce "included"? Shabaaaash!

So US scammed Iran legally because it couldn't secure a convincing win against Iran on the battlefield?
Knowing the past behaviour and nature of the deceptive and dishonest opposing party, iran should have been more attentive and precise what they put in writing.

Very good point, war can also be win win or lose lose. Doesn't have to be one single outcome.

Also - We need to compare what US's stated objectives were with what they have achieved so far. It was supposed to be regime change, it didn't happen.

Even if we consider US's true objective was to weaken Iran to the point it is no longer is a threat to Israel - that is also something US failed to achieve. In fact, Iran is now more dangerous than ever. They are still launching missiles and in fact unveiling new weapon systems after surviving tremendous US Israeli bombing campaign. They are definitely going to pursue nuclear weapon with the amount of HEU they have in their possession.

In fact, faced with existential threat, they could lash out by triggering a dirty bomb somewhere in Israel, if they are unable to achieve the capability to build a nuclear warhead.

And finally - Iran still controls the Strait of Hormuz and holds the global economy hostage.

So anyone claiming that US won, is just blinded by patriotism.

Given the disparity in military strength, surviving the onslaught of the mighty US military for more than one month is nothing short of a victory for Iran. They were always going to get hammered by US. The question was whether they would survive or not. And they did.

I am surprised people with military experience can't seem to comprehend this simple thing.

Well pessimisti in me says let’s see if people aren’t really just buying some time to build up more troops and offensive capabilities one part of the ceasefire was supposed to be Lebanon it looks like trump currently did Israel a favor so they can solely focus on destroying the capabilities so if there is a next round Hezbollah won’t be as capable as they have been how much you want to bet Houthis are next

No, the US lost against Iran. We lost badly.

You failed to do regime change, you failed to disable even a single missile base, you failed to defend your bases in the middle east and your Arab allies lost confidence in you to protect them. You failed to defend Israel. You failed in taking out the Houthis, Hezbollah or any other proxy. Basically you did nothing except unsanction Iranian oil and give them control of the Strait.

I'm not even going to bother counting 'taking out their airforce' because they never had one. Their most capable jets were a few surplus MiG-29As that fired R-27s probably. Same for their museum piece Navy.
