By December 2025, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) completed the delivery of all 52 MFI-395 Super Mushshak basic trainer aircraft ordered by Türkiye in 2016 during the IDEAS Defence Fair in Karachi.

If it's something that's going to be inducted in the hundreds, it's worth developing it locally.

I had no problem with the T-37 'if it ain't broke don't fix it', until I heard that it didn't have an ejection seat.

Any new trainer has to be locally produced.

This iconic photograph was taken sometime in February 1980 during an airshow or similar function. It shows four Pakistan Air Force T-37 aircraft performing aerobatics.

PAF initially acquired a mix of T-37B and T-37C variants (approximately 24 B models and 39 C models, for a total of around 63 aircraft). The type has served for over six decades as the primary basic jet trainer at the Pakistan Air Force Academy in Risalpur, teaching students fundamental jet handling, formation flying, and aerobatics.

The Cessna T-37 Tweet (also known as the “Tweety Bird” because of the distinctive high-pitched whistle of its engines) is a twin-engine, side-by-side jet trainer that first entered Pakistan Air Force service on 1 February 1962.

In 1972 the PAF formed its official aerobatic display team, the Sherdils (“Lion Hearts”). The team’s first public performance was a four-ship T-37 formation on 17 August 1972; the aircraft have remained the team’s mount for decades and have appeared at numerous national and international airshows.

No ejection seat in T-37? Its most recent crash was in 2024 and both pilots ejected safely.
