If the deployment to GCCs becomes permanent, Pakistan will finally have the strategic depth it desired.
Why be limited to Chinese platforms? Saudi wants bigger bang for the buck, let PAF have a Squadron or two of Typhoons to build tactics and plans.

No one needs headache of western strings attached, GCC learned this the hard way. Also, next gen Chinese tech will leave Typhoons far behind.

I dont think many people realise how thsi war will radically change the security dynamics in the region

@side-winder Looks like the work that should have been done before the May war is being done now...im really pissed regarding the loss of the two Mobile command stations...they were precured not long ago man , all it would have took was the PAF to build a concrete building to say hide them from the enemies eye...I hope the guy their are now at a more alert state.

any casualties ,i thought they were just service trucks that can be replaced easily
No Casualties ( reports and members here said they were not being used at that time)
They were far from service trucks , PAF even released a vid when they were inducted...were to be used when Airbases were non operational or c2 nodes not working.. forward thinking by PAF but layed them out like hot chicks sitting in bar..

can they be replaced ??
Depends , they were quite expensive , the thing is not the truck but the secured comms equipment inside the truck which is imp...so i dont think PAF will buy them for some time or if it does buy them it Deffo wont publicize its purchase .. baqi ap sidewinder se puchlo

They are far from the most valuable thing that could have been (and was) hit, I don't see why they can't be replaced. In cost terms the damage at Murid is likely greater.

What did we lose in Murid?

Already replaced.
In non ops state, They are nothing more than just trailers. Trust me i know what i am talking about.

There is talk (in the circles that matter) of increasing PAF sqd nos.
Even to the dizzying no. of 38 sqd.

Then again, it took PA more a decade to take SSG from a brigade strength to a Div. stength.
i.e., if you don't want to cut corners and compromise on standards and quality.

For PAF any such plans will take much longer

It's not just quality, but rather funding as well.

Raising squadron numbers is possible and might be related to Pakistan emerging as security provider and guaranteer for GCC/Iran region. The world has already seen the devastating effects it can cause on global economy.

My take on this is, in future we can expect Pakistan getting funding from GCC nations (barring the haramkhor emiratis) to setup, maintain and sustain offensive/defensive force.

Assets would be rotated in and out of Pakistan with China playing a large part in supplying the required weapons/packages.

If Pakistan gets the J-35s, it will have the sharpest spear out of anyone in south asia or GCC. That will be a big game changer as the nukes were.

This will help GCC wean off US security guarantees, and allow China to finally make inroads into the GCC region. (Chinese have already established and penetrated the west/japanese/korean dominated industrial sector so political/military seems next)

This is what I have been posting about. Now that both Munir, Pak PM and GCC have seen that in any crisis it is essentially PAF that has acted as Pakistan's first response force

Be it May 2025 IAF shoot downs, sending JF-17Cs to Saudi and J-10s to escort Iranians, we can see that PAF is now not just a defence arm but also an active part of our global diplomacy. IAF shoot downs gave us massive credibility abroad, and deployments to Saudi and protection of Iranians have earned trust in those countries.

PAF is no longer just defending Pakistan air space now, it is a tool for regional diplomacy and power projection. Munir and Shebaz have both seen this close up and used PAF to help acheive their goals. As a result we can now expect serious fudning (Pakistan and GCC) and military and political support with Pakistan in order to massively reorganise and requip PAF in my opinion
