Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

So technically if SMASH is a proper supersonic anti-ship ballistic missile, then PAF should also migrate and adopt the SMASH missile into its arsenal as an air launched supersonic ballistic missile. That way, the tri-services (ARFC = Fatah-II, Navy = SMASH, Airforce = SMASH equivalent) will have a common standoff weapon platform that will have parts commonality, shared production and deployment. Most of all, this will be a locally produced solution that will be competitor to Indian Brahmos, until Pakistan acquires some off-the-shelf supersonic/hypersonic ballistic missile. Although they should invest more to improve its precision.

RAFAEL's ROCKS ALBM is a perfect example.

Israel has focused on two things:
Stealth Subsonics and Ballistic hypersonics.Their Blue Sparrow ALBM is a wonderful missile . speed , precision, range, MaRV - they got everything right in BS. Even American Agm-183 ARRW hypersonic missile is weo on BS concept.

I have maintained that Pakistan got strong technical database in both these.Forget Brahmos style ramjet powered missiles - ballistic hypersonics are the way to go.

don't you guys agree that we need the land-based variant of these at least to create a small but necessary deterrent bridge as YJ-12 is the direct competitor of BrahMos...

we have these with our Tughril-class frigates but no land-based variant, even if in limited numbers, it at least ensures that in the next round of any conflict, the threat of supersonic devastation is somewhat mutual

Hi, the CM400 is an ALBM, and it destroyed the IAF S400 radars. I think that has terrorized India also. I am sure the range of the CM400 is much longer that what is stated in public.
CM400-AKG which Pakistan operates is not designated as an ALBM (according to Wikipedia). I think the primary factor that constitutes an ALBM is its high speed and superior range based on the fact that its launched from high altitude and depends on the launch platform's speed. Israel has many examples, like Rocks, Rampage, Air Lora (used by India) and Blue Sparrow.
What I am trying to propose is that since Pakistan is invested heavily on commonality between Fatah-2 and SMASH for both ARFC and Navy, then they should also take the chance and make a derivative of SMASH as an ALBM for Airforce which will be a domestically produced system to rival the Brahmos

The HD-1 has been acquired? Damn that is huge news......
Sir, As per my knowledge this SSCM was not even operationally tested? let alone in production? may be we have started a joint venture to develop and then locally produce.

I was always thought CM302 was Fattah III

They probably come here for half their news and take anything said as gospel like Pakistan has received a partial squadron of J-35s which are in climate controlled structure at Kamra and kept indoors to avoid satellite passes.

It seems like it, a case of adding more spice, masala etc to it.

That being said it's a highly potent weapon;

CM 400 AKG is quasi ballistic.
It rises to 50km altitude, then decends using aerodynamic surfaces and gravity.
Pretty sure its also got dual pulse rocket motor. One used for initial boost, the second used for attaining soeed when going for the target .

But then again, BVR air to air missiles have similar characteristics.
With them being dual thrust instead of dual pulse

most of Pakistan's arsenal is relatively low yield, probably 40-50 kiloton for the largest ones carried by Shaheen 3s, 10 kiloton ones carried by Baburs raads and Abdalis, 2-3 kiloton one for battlefield use from Nasrs.

Indians probably have 200 kiloton warheads. Hell even the North Korea has tested 250 kiloton warhead.
