I absolutely find little wrong with all of the demands except the last one - but if that was “likely” being abused then it makes perfect sense.

However, bearing in mind how AJk is also a Nooni soft heart location and this is all about “you scratch my back I scratch yours” in this current situation - figures
as always is the case, the situation been mishandedled badly. it started with demands for better deal re electicty rates and wheat prices, the dismisal of the rights of Kashmiris right to voe and elect 12 seats in Punjab was controvertial but could've been handled in a better way but as alwasy its our obnoxious attitude to dismiss and silence the Dissent if the protest is weak and raise it up the notch and then run to GHQ when shit hits the fan and finally bend over and try to appease them but to no avail..

yes AJK is very close to noonies and Punjab and this is one reason why the Kashmiris have been specially singled out and executed by terrorists in Balochistan.
although I have seen a video of a dickhead in Mancheter was cursing the establisment and expressed solidarity with everyone under the sun that has an axe to grind against GHQ.

international news is highlighting all this and India cant be more happy. we have given them this chance.

This will catch up to Gilgit Baltistan if its not awarded a provincial status soon.

Make GB a province and a proper part of Pakistan. It has no relation to the Kashmir issue. Having a rubber stamp election and assembly will not work. Balochistan has shown that, you need an outlet where people at least believe they have a stake in their governance. It works for Punjab but not anywhere else.

As for AJK, the constitutional demands can be debated but the economic ones are koko.

Hate the establishment and its role but you loose me with calls for separatism. You are just inviting India over to come and take over.

People fundamentally have a right to pursue freedom but at this point of history, breaking Pakistan will cause a ripple effect and make the civil war in Yugosalavia look like childs play.

We will have bloodshed and genocides on a massive scale and we will get into a forever war with each other.

Pakistan Insha Allah Will Not Be Yugoslavia But I Fear The ***** Sitting In Army House Will Turn It Into One

Him And His Boy W**res On This Forum Seem To Think That Having A Gun Gives Them The Divine Right To Treat People Worse Than Slaves. They Love Yapping About Hard State Hard State Blah Blah

This Is What Happens When Duffers Read A Few Pages Of A Political Science Book and Seem To Think They Know It All.

India Is Far More Diverse Than Pakistan Or Yugoslavia For That Matter Yet It Has Successfully Kept The Country Together It's Far From Ideal But Still.Do You Think They Have Done It Entirely By Becoming A Hard State and Pointing The Gun At Everyone???

InshaAllah one hopes for betterment but I am not seeing much hope. I used to blame the leaders but now I look at the people and they are just submissive, docile and insecure.

Trumps approval or Islamabad Talks on here are celebrated like an economic win. I see a dark era but then again after the darkest there is light.

Really hoping for some miracle out of this mess.

You are giving lanat to Punjabi 'outsiders' on an ethnic basis, but AJK is around 99% Punjabi ethnically...

Is there no limit to the misuse of Kashmiri ethnicity?

Do you even know what JAAC is protesting for? All but ONE major demand of theirs have been fulfilled: The removal of IOK Muhajir seats, which is something you would expect the Indians to demand after defeating us in a war.

Yet, JAAC cultists pretend that they are some oppressed dasmels in distress protesting for 'basic rights.' This is an insult to Kashmiris of IOK who have died protesting ACTUAL atrocities like mass rapes, murders, genocide, or something as little as not supporting the Indian Cricket Team.

I am a Kashmiri, I've never felt the need to blackmail the govt on an ethno-nationalist basis, just because they refuse to strip away representation from a certain group of people, or give me free sh!t at the expense of the taxpayer in a country where the average monthly wage is less than what a 15 year old janitor at Wendy's earns in a few days.

There are THREE MILLION Kashmiris living in Lahore, how many of them go around shooting up the city and threatening separatism, just because they don't get endless luxuries and monopoly over the voting bank?

IT is sad to see a segment of Pakistan's Punjabi Pahari diaspora acting like Iranian Persian diaspora, maligning their own country and people while using the name of Kashmiri ethnicity for their agenda.

My blood boils when these people call themselves Kashmiris. They are not Kashmiris and never will be. Totally different culturally and ethnically. In my view, it should either be merged with Pothohar or renamed to something other than "AJK." The current situation creates confusion and, in many cases, reflects poorly on ethnic Kashmiris from the Valley.

Wherever ethnic Kashmiris go, whether in the UK or elsewhere, people often assume that all Kashmiris share the same political views, experiences, or grievances. This is particularly frustrating because many of the hardships associated with the Kashmir issue political repression, violence, human rights abuses, and decades of conflict have primarily been endured by Kashmiris in Indian-occupied Kashmir. Conflating their experiences with the political demands of groups in so called "AJK" can unfairly distort how ethnic Kashmiris are perceived abroad and diminish the suffering of those who have lived through the conflict firsthand.

At the same time, so called "AJK" enjoys a range of benefits that are rarely acknowledged by its activists. Residents receive heavily subsidized electricity, paying roughly Rs. 3 per unit while consumers in much of Pakistan pay Rs. 40 or more. They also benefit from preferential wheat subsidies, special arrangements regarding land ownership, and forms of local political representation not available elsewhere. Furthermore, while citizens from the rest of Pakistan face restrictions on purchasing property in AJK, AJK residents are free to acquire property across the country, from Karachi to Islamabad. Yet despite these advantages, some activists continue to portray AJK as uniquely oppressed, while overlooking the significant economic and political privileges the region already receives.

When the thread started, I was clearly against this whole subsidy business, but I want people who are against these protests to realize that gop already agreed to thier economic demands, if anything, they already agreed to em in 2024
That was never the issue (although, however f-ed up it sounds unfortunately)
They are only putting up resistance for their own privileges, as that's how they keep the local AJK politicians in check through carrot and stick
they don't want to give up the carrot
why should ordinary Pakistanis be against these protests when GOP is ONLY fighting for their own interests, not the interests of poor Pakistanis
our interests were already sold in 2024

I see no logical reasoning for why people should be against these protests at this point in time. The seat representation thing is baloney too
you already know that it was being abused, and they can easily turn it into seats with no power.
Frankly, at this point I don't see why anyone should be against these protests.
If anything, we should support these protests because 90% of the demands are very legitimate and should be made by others as well.
