FATF Threat: India has started campaign to put Pakistan in Gray List

If there is no terrorist operating in pakistan soil , there is no need to be caution.

You know why people like Virat Kohli, are leaving india and settling somewhere else? They have money, they have fame, they can live like king and queen in india, but they still chose to leave india. There are others like him who have left india.

The ordinary bhooka nanga jahil indian leaves for a menial job because he is starving and has to earn and feed his family, but all these rich families they are leaving india. Why? Because they knew Trump was right, "india is a hellhole".

Like many other things where india and indians have been proven to be liars, one day world would realize that india has been nourishing, harboring, providing patronage, protection, political space to extremist and terrorist entities / ideologies like RSS, Bajrang dal, gao rakshak, hidutva, vishwa hindu sewa dal and many more.

The world will acknowledge that Pakistan was right, few more years and we will see this intolerant, hateful, extremist country and its people fighting and killing each other.

As soon as modi finds his 56".

In 12 years, the guy has grown a tummy bigger than his 56" breasts.

I am disappointed by India. Such a massive super power hiding behind the Taliban and FATF. Just hoping against all hope. When will Sindoor 2.0 happen?

Brahma Chellaney write his own stories that source being himself, these days I take his stories with a pinch of salt.
Next article will be "India drops the plan because of XYZ pressure".

Regardless I wish FATF should take India as a gold standard on reporting and audit and apply these to non member states. Besides FATF has so far worked in favour for us when it comes to certain enforcement action.

As someone who has been working in this exact sphere for the past six plus years, all I can say is the gold standard is pretty much lacquered aluminum.

Further, Pakistan's enforcement of AML-CTF measures has become so stringent & strict that even legitimate businesses are crying out when subjected to these measures.
The FMU has busted many hawala hundi end nodes here & every thread of the busted nodes has been traced back to certian areas in the mideast, western europe, a couple of cities in our neighborhood & in south east asia. The relevant information is regulary shared with the relevant international FIU counterparts for them to take action (if they take action).

Honestly, seeing Pakistan's measures enforced on the ground I think the only plausible reason for moving Pakistan back into the Gray list will be political not factual.

Actually politics & political goals do matter in FATF. There are a number of known tax havens & shell company havens which have abyssmal AML-CTF enforcement yet are not on the Gray list. Similary there is a certian country which was taken off the list a few years ago still has shitty enforcement of AML-CTF regulations & FATF recommendations and is a global money movement hub (IYKYK) which frankly ought to still be on the list but isn't.

As the urdu/hindi saying goes "sub golmaal hae".

Need to be taken seriously...

Over the next 25-30 years Pakistani establishment needs to solve the indian question definitively...

Never, for Sindoor 2 to happen Sindoor 1 has to stop and indian government (modi and cronies) have to tell delulu indians about the losses inflicted by Pakistan.

That will be "Ghar kay ghuss kay maray death and acceptance of ghar may reh kay maar khay gay".

Nah. not dead yet. dont downplay yourself.
its like pressing the breathing tube attached to a guy on ventilator.

Been saying that for decades now, also funny how a guy on a ventilator can give seriius military smackdowns to "$4 Trillion supa powa"....

The USA needs Pakistan's service regarding Iran, so this is not going to happen at present. In return, the USA also needs to keep Pakistan satisfied. It can't use both the stick and the carrot at the same time, especially since the current situation is sensitive.

Like I said before Chellaney tweet is rather political and devoid of any facts. But core issue is militant groups continue to gather funds for their activities inside Pakistan. Designated terror groups are yet to be fully dismantled and you're still stuck in enhanced followup because you are still lacking in verifiable enforcement actions. Asset seizure, recovery and dismantling networks. Yes you have complied with most of the recommendations which is good.

As for gold standard, not really lacquered Aluminium since there are five G20 countries who are in regular follow up category IN, UK, FR, IT, KSA.

Sure "Your excellency"

Russian cheap oil purchases were stopped using stick or carrot? Or in case of iran was it danda or tarbooz?
