A Shenyang FT-6 (airframe 10904) that served both Pakistan and Bangladesh.
As part of normalising the bilateral relationship, Pakistan gifted 40 Shenyang F-6/FT-6 to the Bangladesh Air Force.
This particular airframe was one of those. After its service up to 2013, it retired like other surviving F-6/FT-6s from the fleet of the BAF.
A point to be noted here is Bangladesh lost several F-6/FT-6s in the 1991 cyclone.

Yes, ex-PAF. Many of these were destroyed in 1988 flood and 1991 cyclone.

Am confused. I thought we called this aircraft the "A5".

Q5 was export variant. Decommissioned now.

This is due to the PLA's naming conventions.
The PLA's domestically used weapons are all designated using Chinese Pinyin as their model codes.
The Attack Aircraft, known as "强击机 (Qiang ji ji)" in Chinese Pinyin, is therefore called the Q5 for its domestic use.
Its export version, however, follows international conventions and is designated A5.
However, in the early days, the PLA also exported its domestically used version. Therefore, for international customers, this aircraft exists under both A5 and Q5 designations. If the aircraft registration number received by the customer is A5 or Q5, there are subtle differences between them, and they are not completely equivalent.
Data shows that both Pakistan and Bangladesh are equipped with A-5C, not Q-5.

Welcome to the club!
Going into J10 gets us into the Chinese ecosystem even more deeply, which is strategically advantageous and gives us access to 5th gen in the distant future. EFT would be a one time deal - no way the Europeans selling us a 5th gen later.
But let's see what actually ends up happening.
