Iran claims attack on US air base at Qatar’s Al Udeid
Iran says its forces have targeted the US air base in Al Udeid, Qatar, in the 15th wave of attacks.

The IRGC said in a statement that the Iranian attacks destroyed a long-range radar system and several US strategic refueling aircraft, according to the country’s IRIB news agency.

“The American enemy and the hosts of its bases in the region should know that crossing red lines and attacking people and civilian infrastructure will have a very severe and miserable price. If the enemy continues this trend, more crushing responses are on the way; responses that will remain in the history of battles,” it said.

We actually do know that. The attack that led to the assassination of Gen. Soleimani was coordinated and carried out from the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Qatar brokered a peace deal after the US launched several attacks on Iran during the Ramadhan war from Qatari territory and Iran eventually hit Ras Laffan and wiped out 17% of Qatar's LNG production. Then Qatar realized Iran wasn't treating them with kid gloves anymore and decided to stay away from the kitchen because it couldn't handle the heat.

As to answer your last question, because Iran is currently focused on the American logistics and C&C around us to prevent a potential ground invasion.
