Well seems a big operation is underway, just captured this EAM (Foxtrot Message):
Context:
A Whiskey Foxtrot message is a type of EAM's: emergency action messages normally sent out during War Time or from the Nuclear Doomsday Aircraft [TACMO]: SkyKing (Nightwatch) or Ground Station to Listening Posts. Those random numbers and letters you see, those are mission sensitive orders sent in an encrypted format.
[This does NOT mean the US is using NUCLEAR WEAPONS] These are mission sensitive broadcasts which can be heard over the old HFF frequency Global Communication Systems and are normally readiness checks, MAO: Major Attack Options, LAO: Limited Attack Options]
The first section of Letters and Numbers are known as the Preamble - the actual encrypted cypher follows this so [CBKRNJ] would be the preamble, and the encrypted message would follow this. The number of times the operator uses the preamble denotes the seriousness, less is better
The Radio Checks are conducted by stations prior to a large-scale movement of assets and personnel to ensure all the aircraft/convoy are able to 5/5/ (Loud and Clear) prior to any mission sensitive transmissions.
