Homo sapiens shared a common Homo heildelbergensis ancestry with the Neanderthals and Deninsovans.

Only the Neanderthals and Deninsovans happened to share a more recent common ancestry to each other than with Homo sapiens.

More likely that the Han Chinese and its closely related ethnic groups in China retain both admixture from Neanderthals and Deninsovans evenly, but the Tibetans seem to lean more toward Deninsovans in general.

Even most modern Europeans also retain both archaic hominid admixture, but only the Neanderthal position far outweigh the Deninsovan one.

Most Arabs and other Middle Easterners also contain the Neanderthal admixture as this hominin species also used to live in the Middle East.

The first wave of Homo sapiens who have failed to migrate to Eurasia from at least 200,000 years ago was obstructed by the Neanderthals.

In fact, Morocco right now has the oldest fossil of Homo sapiens, and Homo sapiens did try several times to migrate out of Africa, but it always got blocked in the Sinai peninsula or the exposed bridge of Gibraltar thanked to the Neanderthals.

Here is the prehistoric relative of the Southeast Asians and East Asians who lived in East Europe.

He carried a significant amount of the Neanderthal admixture, and also looked very East Eurasian ('Mongoloid') in appearance.

Yeah they have like a combined culture and many hui celebrate both Islamic traditions and Chinese new year. Because of genetics many hui do not have beards but still go to masjid and are devout none the less.

Hui people have on average 10% Middle Eastern DNA (maternal) and around 1/8 percent (12.5 %) paternal Middle Eastern DNA.

It is pretty much confirmed historically (and by Hui peoples themselves) that intermarriages with Arabs and others occurred.

Some famous Muslim Chinese people (called Hui people in general) with confirmed Arab ancestry as well.

Not all Middle Eastern people have great facial hair either but I get your point here. Same is seen with South East Asian Muslims at times (Malaysians, Indonesians, Filipinos etc.)

Other than that there are Turkmen communities in Iraq, Syria and even some in KSA. They are overall good people. Although most sources say that they are originally from Azerbaijan and not Turkmenistan.

There were more non Han military officers in the Tang Dynasty government army.
