also worth pointing out that about 10 million plus syrians were directly under Turkish protection either within Turkiye or in regions in Syria where the Turkish army was present.

Israelis believe in speed, lethality and in preemptive strike...You do need nukes asap.

Turks have a full case study of Iran here.

If Turks also sleep on nukes - a huge humiliation awaits them.

Israelis draw thier power/resources from US MIC. Turks will strugle here.

GOP Rep. Called Israeli–U.S. Defense Tech Integration “Dangerous.” The House Passed It Anyway.

Nukes give you sense of power that no conventional strength can match.

There is a reason Israelis didn't allow Iranians to have nukes - from killing their scientists to all the way down to attacking whole country/nuclear sites

I've been of the opinion for some time now that if Turkiye needs nuclear warheads they either have the ability to develop them or they have access to them.

Now if Turkiye does have nuclear weapons, it would only be something revealed at the last moment. So if Turkiye came into an allout war with Russia or Isreali/USA, then they will be revealed.

At least this i how think the Turkish mindset would play this game. If we have it, its not in our interests right now for anyone to know we have it.

The other side of the coin is the Turkish government chickens to confront Israel right now.
Because admit it or not, they have balls. They act. They're not like the Greek governments who remain passive and try to appease Erdogan's whims or issue a lukewarm statement 2-3 days later like "It's not constructive to escalate tensions" or "Greece stands firm in the defence of..." blah blah.

Israelis act when they sense a threat. When they feel threatened they don't take second chances nor appease enemies, they act. The point is,we've often seen Turkish F-16s and Phantoms fly even on the news that Greek politicians are visiting eastern Aegean islands.
Sending F-16s flying over islets in the Aegean or sending Phantoms to intercept Syrian jets in the 2010s.

Israelis bomb bases of Turkish interest, close to Turkey and there's not a single pair of F-16s flying around to project power or will to stand up to them. Why? Well, because Israelis would have shot them down. The same "dayilik" that Turkish pilots do against Greek jets or French ships, wouldn't work with Israelis. Especially their Air Force.

And that's the other side of the coin. We've seen since the start of the war in Gaza in late 2023,that Erdogan's government has been cowering when it comes to confronting Israelis. Heck,we even saw that in 2010 after the flotilla incident.

Israelis also provoke and try to get a reaction, upon which then they either attack or wail to the world. It is good to not react tit for tat to Israel and act with wisdom and patience.
