First of all Lakshadweep hasen't got the infrastructure to support a rapid influx of tourists, secondly they don't have five star capabilities' like Maldives does.
Goa for example has built its infra over the past five decades and yes its lost all its charm and become a concrete jungle with loud to very loud obnoxious people who visit there who have forced the total social fabric change. Now a day you can actually find places open between 1-4 in the afternoon . :lol:
By the way its still cheaper to fly to the Maldives then to Lakshadweep.

So we have people (mostly congressi) who are against development of Lakshadweep because it will ruin her prestige beauty. First decide whicy side you are on want development or not.

Also don’t worry about Infra as this is not congressi government. Modi knows how to execute stuff and get the job done. Just look around every corridor work be it Kashi or Ayodhya it will be all transportation, hotels and activities.

No I've never been, I'd love to visit India, just the small problem of being of Pakistani roots. Yes Goa is popular but it's more of a party scene and not the serene style that the Maldives has. Also what of families?

We both understand that artificial organs can only keep you alive for a very short time and they cost a lot, Maldives can keep importing costly stuff from food to medicines, but for how long is the question.

That will be declaration of war. In a declared war, India will overpower Maldives and make it our Crimea. West will send humanitarian assistance and wash their hands because China is involved.

Brother India get lots of foreign tourists and forget foreigners but if fraction Indian visit Lakshadweep which ends up going to Maldives, Indonesia, …. it will save Forex for India and create local jobs. It is gorgeous place and pictures cannot do justice.

If Modi government has decided to develop Lakshadweep (I am not sure as there is not a single word from Modi government) than It will be holistic development of multiple Lakshadweep islands.

On a side note, I do hope you will have chance to visit india, very diverse landscape, food and culture.

West will wash their hands if China is involved. No country fights another country's war. They send weapons at best. Thing is Maldives doesn't have any soldiers, it's not similar to Ukraine in any way.

One thing you are forgetting is Maldives means tourism, one little conflict and tourism is gone, economy totally tanked in a day.

Let us not be delusional.

Actually its not that hard. If environmental norms are compromised, like Maldives itself did. The biggest reason Lakshadweep has remained untouched is because developing connectivity means building infra on top of very sensitive ecology of the region. The moment you do it, it will attract a lot of criticism.

Sure it will not be ready in 2 days but 10 years out, it can give Maldives a run for its money, literally.

Goa mostly northern Goa you will find party like scenes but still they are beautiful beaches and off course no problem at all to go with families.....

If you want only peace with beauty then southern Goa is best, you can further explore coastal karnataka and kerala and believe me they are much more beautiful than Maldives beaches.....

In coastal karnataka you get same white sand broad and long beaches with full of greenery and see Maldives being a small archipelago state has limitations in offering you a variety in scenery and types of beaches compared to India which is blessed with thousands of miles of coast lines....

Maldives is more enjoyed for shallow water diving than scenery which yoy can directly do from your hotel rooms on most of the islands.....

China has its strategic interests in Maldives.... Pakistan too if have a concrete support from China can accept such invitation.....

Since Pakistan is geographically closer to Maldives compared to China they may ask Pakistan to maintain its military presence in Maldives in order to secure Chinese interest there.... technically no one can oppose them as they will be their on Maldives government invitation and technically India can't resist as it will make India look like an aggressor.....
