Egypt’s IRIS-T SLM air defenses were also shown! Egypt has ~25 IRIS-T SLM/SLS/SLX batteries on order with an option for another order with local manufacturing as well. Egypt has been using IRIS-T for *years* so it’s extremely unclear why anyone is shocked here when there is a vid of the Egyptian military using them on training in western Egypt…they’re also sometimes seen on satellite. Each launcher can carry 4 or 8 tubes/canisters I saw many people getting confused by this, it’s entirely up to EAF which option to use for each vehicle whenever they want. Goes without saying that there are other systems in service that aren’t shown publicly…

Developing old Russian BMP-1S armored vehicles and equipping them with armor-piercing missiles.
