Chinese SAC - FC-31/J-35 5th Gen Stealth Aircraft

There are no more real pictures of the J-35 Navy version.
Currently there are only photos of the model and some very low definition passerby photos.
We are unable to make an accurate comparison.

Maybe @guangdongt could bring a tape measure to the field to measure the J-35 and J-35A models. LOL
There is only one model of J35A in Zhuhai, and J35A does not stay on-site. It is sufficient to see J35A flying in good weather. More data to wait for official release

Americans can't tell a J-35 from an F-35 either? LOL

Fighter jet J-35A equipped with China-developed engine: spokesman

2024-11-13 16:32 Last Updated At:20:57

China's new medium-sized stealth fighter jet, the J-35A, is equipped with a China-developed engine, a spokesman of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force told a press conference on Wednesday at the ongoing 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.

The much anticipated J-35A on Tuesday made its debut by performing a dazzling flying display at the airshow, which runs from Tuesday to Sunday.

"The PLA Air Force shows sincerity at this airshow, particularly with the debut of J-35A, which is equipped with a domestically developed engine. This demonstrates our commitment and innovation. This jet's debut also marks the expansion of the Air Force's most powerful fighter jets from three (J-10C, J-16, J-20) to four. It's also an exiting and proud moment when the PLA Army, Navy, and Air Force showcased their aircrafts in a grand formation, thrilling both the on-site spectators and those watching the broadcast at home," said Xie Peng, spokesman of the Air Force.

"The J-35A's debut at this airshow is a result of the joint efforts of all our test pilots. The successful development of the J-35A reflects the wisdom and hard work of our test pilots and engineering teams. Our pilots are evolving from test flight specialists to aviation weapons specialists," said test pilot Li Lanxing.

The indoor gallery has 1:5 models of the J-35 and J-35A.
There will be some differences between the model and the real machine, unfortunately we won't be able to see the Navy's J35 this year

The J-35 Chinese nickname is “蓝鲨 Blue Shark”.------This is an unofficial announcement.

========================================
Special Tips.
The PLA has a certain pattern when it comes to naming the Chinese nicknames of equipment. Air Force fighters use the “龙 Dragon” series and Navy fighters use the “鲨 Shark” series.
However, the J-35 series is a fighter that takes into account both the Air Force and the Navy. Therefore, we can only assume that “蓝鲨 Blue Shark” is the Chinese nickname for the naval version of the J-35. The Chinese nickname for the Air Force version of the J-35A is currently unknown.

It seems that the opposite is the case and that you are not understanding what I am saying. It could be some difference in expression or way of thinking.
What I said is actually a neutral point of view. It has nothing to do with left or right wing or whether the media is impartial or not. It is simply a reality of the situation.

From a certain point of view, the J-35A is indeed superior to the J-20. today's China is developing very fast, and there is a big time gap between the J-20 and the J-35A, so the view that the J-35A is superior to the J-20 in some aspects is valid. ------The J-20 here refers to earlier versions of the J-20, excluding the latest versions of the J-20 and J20S.

But the view that the J-20 is a failed product is too one-sided or biased on his part. Times are evolving!

The J-20 is superior to J-35. There is no debate on this.

Not exactly as it depends on what situation you are looking at.

J-35 has less RCS as it has a more "stealthty" airframe. Those horizontal canards at the front of the J-20 inhibit its frontal aspect stealth somewhat.

Overall the J-20 is a superior platform overall for sure but in certain situations the J-35 may be the better plane.

In essence purely for air supremacy within its range envelope it could be!

I would not be surprised if the J-35A had lower RCS than J-20.

The two planes complement each other and the roles are not exactly the same.

Without getting into the roles of each plane, purely from a technological and performance aspect the J-20 wins from the J-35. The J-20 has the best sensors that China has on offer.

In plain simple terms the J-20 is the absolute best that China has. The J-35 looks like a very good fighter, but it is not the absolute premium. J-20 is the undoubted heavyweight.

For the Dutch defence expert to ridicule the J-20 shows how little Western defence experts actually understand and know.

There is no reason for the J-35A to not have the latest in Chinese radar and avionics technology.

While the J-20 will of course have a larger and more powerful radar, in technological terms it will not be more advanced.

If there's a dogfight between J 35 and J20 you will see J35 drawing circles around J20 .

J-20 excels in high altitude long range BVR duels and also bombing targets with large payload at long range.

It would be ideal to cross the vast distances from China's coasts to the first or even 2nd Island chain(with refuelling) to carry out these missions.

F-35A would be good up to first island chain and also will be able to fly off PLAN carriers to engage and kill USN F-35s and F-18s.

The J-20 won't have to indulge in a dogfight. It has better and more powerful sensors and radar. It will take out the J-35 from a safe distance.

The day and age of dogfights is long gone. This is the day and age of BVR.
