I'm not saying that either.

I don't think this current operation have anything to do with the Kurd, otherwise these group would not be going South and West, but they will be going East. This operation is quite clearly focus on Assad and Syrian Arab Government.

Many middle eastern analyst said this is a payback for Assad ignoring the Turks (Erdogan to be precise), and Turkey support this to push the buffer zone further South. I don't see how the HTS can push all the way down toward where the American were. Nor complete roll over of all SAAF zone.

On the other hand, I also don't see how US want to get in with this either. That does not mean they are abandoning the Kurds in the East, Turkey and the US probably have an agreement where can they go and where can't they go. But what happen afterward is everyone guess.

According to the Turkish main opposition leader, it's her Deep State that's at the helms. And, Erdo'an heads the Deep State too....

I don't know man........

If Turkey wanted, they can just drive into Damascus with their troop, Russia and Iran is not going to stop them they both have enough in their plate, and certainly Syria is not going to stop them. Using proxy force means there are way to denied that, and/or try to correct the course they wanted. Which ever one is the correct motive is up to one's own imagination.

President ERDOGAN extended his hand to ASSAD many times and offered to negotiate for peace and said ASSAD regime must engage in a genuine political process to prevent the situation

but ASSAD and Russia, who see this as a weakness, have launched attacks simultaneously with the PKK/YPG on Idlib and areas where Turkish forces are located in the last two weeks.

This operation was launched under the name of Operation Deterrence of Aggression in response of Russian-Regime attacks

HTS doesnt fight PKK/YPG they focused on fighting ASSAD Tegime
on the other hand Turkiye backed Syrian National Army focused on fighting PKK/YPG

Some Powers made a plan thinking that Turkiye backed Syrian National Army would follow the HTS and go to Hama, Homs, Damascus and overthrow ASSAD

but smart Turkiye with 2200 years of state experience ordered SNA to clean TEL RIFAT from PKK-YPG Terrorists and the next target is MUNBIC

Whatever HTS does is none of our business.
Turkiye has its own agenda in Syria to fight terrorism
