The events of the past month has even overwhelmed my expectations. At this point, China is already by far the dominant tech power, it’s just thrashing around the US like a rag doll giving zero fucks.

These are not one offs but the result of a huge foundation China has crafted for decades. It has all the resources and momentum. It’s actually just the beginning of complete and unquestioned Chinese dominance.

I am Pointing out Sanctions like”shooting itself in foot” The US was deriving huge earnings selling high-end chips to China. This relationship would have continued undisturbed given the high investments required to develop such from scratch. Now that the US has blocked the sale the high-end chips, China is working to ensure it won't need the low-end chips either. So, the US will be stuck with both its high and low-end chips.
