Because security guarantees and military aid for Ukraine are necessary for any peace settlement.

This is what I’ve said here for months. Russia has lost Ukraine. Ukraine will now be aligned with the West and conduct economic and security deals with the West. This is strategic defeat for Russia.

Also, Russian battlefield momentum in the east has been completely halted. The only momentum now is in the Kursk region, Russias own territory.

Russia taking the whole Donbass is looking ever more distant.

Does Russia seek peace? Yes or no? Who is the true aggressor in this conflict. Ukraine has agreed to a ceasefire with Trump. Now the ball is in Russias court.

If Putin negotiates in bad faith, the US will likely increase sanctions and weapons shipments to Ukraine.

The US has no more M1A1 or M2A2 left to send. Why should Russia ceasefire?

I am not analyst or analogous but let look that way.
the russians were 15km before Kiev in 2022.

now people talking of russians trying to repel ukraine troops 400km from Kiev.
you notice the joke?
even if the russians repel ukraine troops or ukraine army repel russian troops, that means nothing.

they are immediate neighbours.
they hate each others too much now, they probably will fight, they will invade each others until the last man, women, baby.

That got only possible due to interference of whole NATO with billion and billions of dollars in arms support (off source USA will rip Ukraine now in return of their help), high tech intelligence reports, troops training and a lot more. You always try to give an impression that Ukraine did it in their own. Whole of NATO was neck deep in all this affair with tax money from their citizens.
Yes Russia was held.... But at what cost???

Russia isn’t winning, the war has been a stalemate for nearly two and a half years now.

Your questions will be answered but first you have to come out of your basement where you were hiding since many days.
Btw while world knows NATO is the aggressor and it was NATO who was root of this conflict.
