That idiom is talking about if you overly help that someone, they Become dependent, and when you stop helping them, they hate you.

First of all, that can also applied to Russia and China, in fact, I personally know quite a few Russian who started to hate the Chinese for dangling them to be punched by NATO while they think China didn't help enough as "Blood Brother"

Secondly, this does not applies in this case, because we aren't talking about a person who may be down on his luck or whatever, we are talking about a total annihilation scenario. Again, whether or not the American or West help them, that's not going to change how they hated the Russian. Because this is a fact that they invaded Ukraine, and start killing their neighbor. This is like Iraq, or when Japan invaded China, how much do you think the Sunni and Shia in Iraq hated each other, but when we come in, we give them a common enemy, whether or not they hated each other, they hate us more, same thing happened to Japan when Communist and Nationalist in China was fighting each other, and then the Japanese comes in and started killing your neighbor whether or not they are communist or nationalist, that changed pretty quick.

You ask me whether or not I think they won't change? No, people change, but will they go back to Russia when it was the Russian dressed in green come into Ukraine and murder their neighbor and rape their children? I can tell you this, they don't really like American over in Ukraine, in fact, they see us as arrogant, and now indecisive, but does that mean they will like the Russian more? Well, I will let you find that out.

Populists love only themselves and are not willing to take responsibility. They will blame foreigners for anything bad. Any help you give them will be taken for granted, and when interrupted it will attract hatred. We have seen too many of these countries in our history.

And as a maker and maintainer of the international order, you can't please anyone or never offend a country. China, which has ruled the order in the East throughout its history, is well aware of this.

Actually Trump did the right thing. But Western culture can't understand that.

the russians do terror bomings. that´s the fact. Putin´s endgame to eliminate Ukraine as nation and race. Putin will do that no matter the cost to Russia. this war will end very ugly. there is no way out. the russians suffer 5,000 men a day as the newest estimate by Finland.

Dude, again, Russia is NOT AT ALL POPULAR in Ukraine, you can't have a populist to go after an unpopular idea. If such populist exist, he probably is going to be shot before he can enter politics.

Also, populist only can survive with active measure, again, you can't support an active measure campaign for Russia in Ukraine probably for the next few generation.

They may hate America or the West, but they WILL ALWAYS HATED RUSSIA MORE, because when the Ukrainian talk about this war, it wouldn't matter how much that person hated the west, they are going to go at Russian for starting this war, instead of the west not helping enough.

Trump did nothing, which is the worse, you can pro something and anti-something, but when you have no opinion on something and just let it rip, that's the worse. West Supporting Ukraine is as right as China support Russia. It's a perspective thing
