Any proper military will have contingency plans. They probably would have stopped their centrifuges the moment Israel attacked, and moved their equipment and uranium to a more secure location.

I am convinced they will recover from this quickly.

Moving such plants which were consistently under watch of various actors, especially US satellites isn't possible without detection. They were keeping such close eyes that they even eliminated top scientists. They knew who comes and goes from these facilities. Remember Israel did a suprise attack, and it was checking movements for a long long time. They were gathering intelligence for over a decade. Moving after Israeli attack isn't possible as IDF was constantly flying and hitting targets in and around. I believe (although I didn't wanted this to happen) that Iran's nuclear capability is largely gone. That was decades of work. We all want to believe that perhaps Iran still have nuclear capabilities but reality looks really different.

Trying to recover this will invite another strikes. Iran better should focus on Hypersonic missiles, air defense first also build an airforce. Once these conventional capabilities are strong enough to safeguard its nuclear projects, then only Iran should restart work on nuclear program. For next 10 years focus should on only getting cutting edge conventional capabilities.

Good points, at the risk of going off-topic, China was allowed to develop post 1980 onwards by the West because they thought a developed China would naturally move towards democracy and the West. That naivete was exposed as nonsense and hence you see the new aggressive Western posture against a newly empowered China forty years on.

Iran should fund the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline, as well as rail line to make itself indispensable into the regional economies. Iran needs to play it smart and counter IMEC with a better deal for India, Pakistan, and Europe. Iran could fund the extension of pipelines to China via Central Asia, reducing China’s Malacca dilemma.

Kinetically, Iran may only be able to carry out assassinations in its diaspora and carry out executions at home to cull anti-regime elements, without crossing a US threshold.
