CAMM-ER fingers crossed
Makes sense, as they have gone for it in Baburs & Yarmook-IIs. Other option could be HHQ10 (or its export variant) PDMS, just have to replace the launcher and no structural changes needed. PLAN replaced FM90 with HHQ10s in few of its ship.
Yep, CAMM-ER can act as PDMS and a medium range air-defense. HHQ10 is only a short range PDMS. However, HHQ10 is a capable PDMS, fire & forget and totally automated, generations ahead of FM90. That's the reason PLAN is trusting it on its most modern destroyers. But not sure if they will export it. The export version of HHQ10 is basically a different missile and that isn't as capable. CAMM can be a good choice if there's budget as it needs VLS integration and structural changes. Not worth it in my opinion, CAMM ER would greatly increase the ships capabilities, but I guess it would depend on how much of an upgrade they want. If they go with the CAMM ER we would have 14 ships with potent air defences in the near future.

Not much beneficial. I think PN has realized used warships era is gone. These are for very temporary measures and takes lot of resources for maintenance. Spends more time in dry docks then be available for combat. China won't sell any newer warship from its own service. It will sell 20,25 yrs old hull. So better to go new ones, go for couple of 54-Bs. Otherwise if not much budget then again go for couple more Damen-2600s and armed these with CAMMs & SMASH.
On the other note, I think PN has a peak capacity of operating x number of warships. We don't know how much it is based on its operational budget, number of sailors avaliable, number of docking platforms, number of bases. I think with current number of warships we are pretty close to its peak optimal operational capacity. So first PN needs to build more naval bases with more numbers of platforms before it may want to add further warships. PN has just 2 proper naval bases with docking ability for large warships ( Ormara & Karachi). Gwadar too can be used but its not primarily built for that and has very small docking area as of now. So I'd love to see PN doing a vast expansion on its naval bases first and then it will show that PN is looking to further expand the naval fleet.
You are presenting your post as SOME SORT OF REALITY BUT IT NOT. It is just your SPECULATIONS.
Pakistan will get what it wants from China - it is as simple as that.
Hi,I don't understand why PN is buying large warships like the 054AP. In a big Indo-Pak war, these warships will hardly get out of the harbor and will be of little use.
PN will gain more by investing this military money in submarines, missile boats, naval air force, etc.
You are correct. I think it all depends on PN's doctrine. PN is now part of the Military's Netcentric combined HQ. PN thinks that they need some sort of larger vessels and hence 054 ships. But they have also gone for 8-Chinese subs and along with 3 French upgraded Submarines, this is a large Sub force. As for the Naval AF arm, I have said this many times that PN needs fighter jets. Lets see what happens in the next few months and years.I don't understand why PN is buying large warships like the 054AP. Hi,
These frigates are hardly ever in the harbor---. They are always on patrol in the needed areas---.

Incidently---our equipment is more advanced than the enemy equipment----.
As I have stated before---indian military has been caught in a time warp---where the hands of the clock are going against it---.
Their equipment is a few step or steps behind---.
Indeed never underestimate. With their each ship carrying average 8 supersonic antiship missile and some even 24 to 32 ashm. It should ve worrysome. I think pakistan just like chum su ri should buy boats with pdms ciws whose sole job is protect the naval group from ashm.View attachment 134555

In every satellite imagery update, I found these in harbor. That does not mean they do not patrol, but saying they are hardly ever in harbor is also incorrect. We use OPVs and PMSAA more often for patrolling then larger platforms.
Never underestimate the enemy. That's the only rule that will guarantee your success. Btw, why you think their latest warships are inferior to ours? How do you compare air defense of their latest warships with Tughrils?

No its not, FM-3000N is on par with PL-10 and AIM-9X point defence system while AMRAAM/ ESSM is medium range missiles.yes
it is FM-3000N
