If Pakistan works hard they can push up their IT exports to $20 billion and beyond very rapidly. It's there for the the taking.

Sindh and Punjab can produce solid IT workers in mass quantities.

This is HUGE.
The state should do its very best to avail this opportunity. The state should also develop a plan to address unemployment in this opportunity. The state should reach out to all well-educated but unemployed individuals to train and create jobs for them. This should be the state policy immune to political shifts.

Rules of the game are changing almost by the week it seems
You described the choice rightly

The rules have been set since the start of the century

The game is merely notching up

Margin for ambiguity is reducing

I respect India's position for neutrality, it just means they have to confront everyone else to stay neutral

Probable or possible?

@Yasser76

True, but both India and US have put in a lot of investment into the relationship, i just think now a dose of realism is coming into it.
India did not want to be US policeman and US would not back India in any war. India wanted full help in developing it's own industry, US wanted high value off the shelf ticket sales.

Thanks for a dose of realty. Much like that PRC-PAK, PRC-USA has had similar investments on both sides- and neither would abandon PAK or the vice versa.

Regards

@PAKISTANFOREVER

Why don't you promise to fight PRC? You could extract trillions of dollars and unlike us Hindus, you guys can fight!

Regards

We don't even want to fight you guys, you are our neighbor. We just want to live like a peace loving nation and grow economically and benefit each other financially. Why would we ever want to fight our Iron-Brother China? Only love for China 👩‍❤️‍👩 (Pak China).

But in this context, you also have to agree to stop playing Bollywood movies with us with staging Pehelgam like incident to start a fight.

You are right about one thing, we KNOW how to fight. We told you not to test us before May 6th........ you didn't listen and lost that match 7-0.

India wants strategic independence without being willing to pay the price for strategic independence (other powers wacking you on trade, no access to very high end tech etc)

Yes, there is a price to pay,and you have to win

Or

You increase your capabilities such that you earn respect.... china

You cannot ask for technology and development whilst simultaneously demanding to be considered a peer.

Alas this is where India are, the Hindu strongman avatar modi represented will have to be disintegrated to remould India to Congress pro west stance

Did you know as part of diary and farming trade dispute the Americans are paying no mind to Hindu food sensibilities .....

Time for Congress.

I don't think any big ticket items will come from US, but small equipment such as night visions, radars, snipers, more MRAPS could be reasonable to expect, as for major stuff I think the best we can get which is a big IF is F-16's upgrades, and AH-Z1's release. I don't see any more new F-16's coming, not even 18... It would be ideal but US-PAK relationship is a mess and it won't just fade away in few months/years.

That's how I was thinking too. But with careful analysis, my thoughts have changed.

If the nature of US-Pak relationship will play how it seems, long term, trade and business, US wanting Pakistan be the alternative supplier than China on Rare Earths, this creates a dependency on Pakistan. That's real long term.

So thinking this entire landscape, two possibilities. Short term:
1) Obvious purchase of anti-terror ops equipment, like Night Vision, Sniper equipment, MRAPV's, some drones low to medium level.

2) Obvious upgrades of F-16 and Pakistan getting AMRAAM D-1's? They will offer C-8's, but getting D-1 would be on negotiations, we have the PL-15 battle tested, result generated, so why need a lower tier missile? They won't give the D-3's to anyone so best outcome D-1's.

We start our trade relationship on Oil, Rare Earth's, Gold, Copper, etc. A few years from now, let's say 2030 or 2031, this trade relationship and oil, mineral business hits $ 50-100 billion with US annually. The US would want us to give them weapons business also. So even F-35's may be on the table to replace the F-16's.

The US would be moving onto NGAD by then.

Trade , investment in minerals and energy etc . All are sideshows...... recent bonhomie between America and Pakistan is all about middle East , Iran and CARs ...PDFers live in a parallel universe, self flagging is their favourite pass time...... Pakistan, despite her myriad problems is sitting at the big boys table ...... Pakistan is second fiddle to no one, not America and not China..... Pakistan is carving out her own sphere of influence , so far Pakistan is doing pretty well.

The above is ONLY happening because Pakistan defeated india militarily in May 2025. Make NO mistake about it, had Pakistan lost the war and india began fulfilling it's pledge to do to Pakistan what the israelis are doing to the Palestinians in Gaza, india would continued to have received the FULL BACKING of america and the west. Losing to Pakistan showed the americans and the west how pathetically backward and weak india really is and the trillions of dollars they have wasted in building up india as a bulwark against China has been completely wasted. The americans are trying rapprochement with Pakistan as they are looking for another strategy in order to contain China. The americans are NOT friends or well-wishers of Pakistan. Pakistanis MUST ALWAYS remember this fact. The americans are just people that Pakistanis are forced to do business with. That's it. NOTHING ELSE.

The most sensible post in this thread! 100% agreed.
