What's the status of the earlier one's??
first one or two are probs nearing delivery.

IMO, PN is just buying every irframe that comes to the market as they are as rare as hens teeth these Lineage 1000E.

IMO PN will struggle to hit 10 airframes

It's not an issue.

Lineage 1000E is literally just the E190 with fuel tanks in the lower cargo deck. So, while it'll take some extra work, they can re-leverage E190s if need be.

OTOH, Embraer is also developing a special mission variant of the E190-E2, which is more or less ready for modifications for whatever role the end-user wants.

yes, but IMO, the PN made the distinction between the E2 and the 1000E for a reason though (maybe its a certification thing)

But yeah, i think they will end up having to go for E190's in the end. The E2 is probably off the cards as its diff eng and airframes etc

So how does Sea Sultan compares to India's stripped down P-8I.

I like to believe Sea Sultan will more capable in the longer run. We've our own tailor made platform can be upgraded without much hassle. While India will be forced to buy an employ overpriced downgraded Poseidons

5th sea sultan airframe procured

Nice - that must be that the build of the 1st one is now complete? And, in testing?

Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh soon!

why not go for a Chinese airliner ?? I believe in future this would be the only option mass available for military conversion due to geopolitics 🤔🤔

I believe Chinese airliners are just got certified for mass commerncial exports. They are too fresh for such repurposing. On the other hand, Chinese MIC is supplying X-9, X-8 and J-20 etc. for PLA forces.
