Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

impossible, run the math... 45 min max operating time, 750km, account for low flight, terrain hugging, acceleration phase etc...
Babur engine comes in as needed. Basically shared with other Chinese platforms.

Unfortunately the policy of “make only if import impossible” is still not understood by all here.

Pakistan missed the boat on engine tech due to usual suspects internally

If the engines and components are not Pakistani why are they available for export? Does China allow this?

Fatah series is conventional, Hatf series is nuclear. However, not much difference, Babur can be used conventionally, there's no way the indians would know the difference between a Fatah IV launch or Babur. And Nasr seems irrelevant, why have a nuclear capable gmlrs with the lowest range Vs the Fatah series.

Again subsonic 😡 waste of money. ***** will chest thumb again stopping this average missile. SPD should have self assessment if they cant make a supersonic cruise missile when enemy and world is on hypersonic they should resign new people should come In SPD enough of it huge disappointment seeing F4.

Pakistan Unveils New Fatah-4 Cruise Missile

FATAHSS-768x632.jpg

Pakistan has unveiled the Fatah-4, the newest addition to the Pakistan Army’s Fatah family. The Fatah Weapon System missile family consists of a wide variety of munitions ranging from Guided Rockets to Ballistic Missiles and Cruise missiles. As the name suggests Fatah-IV is the fourth distinctive member of Army’s Fatah family, where early 3 examples of Fatah family are ballistic weapons, Fatah-4 meanwhile is a Cruise Missile (likely derived from either the Babur/Harbah Family).

All of the systems offered under the Fatah are conventional in nature with payload’s consisting of unitary, cluster warhead etc. Fatah 4 too is conventional in nature and its unveiling marks the clearest indication yet that the Pakistan Army is moving toward a dedicated conventional rocket and missile force designed for precision long-range strikes. Operationalization of Fatah family of weapons will allow Pakistani Army to conduct tactical strikes without involving Army’s Strategic Forces Command (ASFC), This would be a significant shift from the Pakistan Army’s strategy where it has only reserved its ASFC arsenal of Ballistic and Cruise missiles largely for Nuclear deterrent roles.

With a projected range of up to 750 km+ while carrying a warhead of 330kg, Fatah-4 represents a Low Cost Long Range conventional strike capability, offering low-altitude, terrain-hugging flight for survivability against air defenses. The Missile flies at a speed of 0.7 mach, 50m above ground level while adopting terrain hugging flight path to mask its signature. Additionally the missile has a accuracy of <5m, even much lesser when fitted with a EO/IR seeker.

Fatah-4 is also likely able to use modern technologies from Pakistan’s Harbah program such as the high end Dual mode seeker or single mode seeker developed for Harbah AShM, that use either Radar, EO/IR or both. These seekers can be easily adopted for ground attack role. Furthermore the seeker incorporates AI into the EO/IR module, which would enable the Missile to use image scene matching tech to correctly identify its target in GPS Contested environments.

If Fatah 4 has a range of 750km, then does Harbah now also have a range of 750 km also, or is that not how it works

I think we need long range anti ship missiles of 1000km+

Having the ability to fire anti ship missiles from the coast upto that range alongside sea drones to overwhelm a ships A.D is vital to keep Indian Navy at Bay

Apparently, the FATAH-4 was also displayed outside Jinnah Stadium. This would mark the first time the system has been unveiled to the public (it had been previously acknowledged to be in development). Interestingly, it bears a striking resemblance to the Harbah-NG, a subsonic, sea-skimming cruise missile.

Babur and raad series have higher payload capacity of 500kg i guess.

But you need a supersonic cruise missile for singular strikes to have a chance of success.
Pakistan navy already uses a supersonic cruise missile, cm 302. That can be adapted to land and air use. Brahmos was also originally an anti ship missile.

Even houthis have better missile than this to attack SPD is shit enemy is firing brahmos high technology expensive missile and we are making a harbah in new colors 😩 and labeling is as f4 😡.

No platform in PAF can carry the air launched version of CM-302(YJ-12) even in PLAAF only H-6 and JH-7 carry them.

Shahpar is a Chinese design, with Chinese weapons and Chinese components.

Pakistan exports it, who knows what the deal is
Well that's fucking disappointing, I thought they'd finally learnt how to make low level things but seems like it's all Chinese tech
