The intercept rate was not 85%.....that's what Israel wants us to think. I saw a lot of videos, intercept rates were not near that level...I don't want to make a guess, but if you force me, I'd say 65% at max. Remember the second time around the Western allies weren't as responsive as the first time.Not very easily. It takes 15-20 missiles launched for 2-3 getting through. That is 85% interception rate.
After all those interceptions, the missiles that get through are not delivering much damage.
I think part of this is they thought they needed to play the long game with Israel, and decided to ration missiles, sending small salvos, with both sides racing to see who would run out first.
