Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

My assessment is that this is a temporary phase where everything looks rosy.
It takes a lot to create a coalition of nations.
I have a doubt that Pakistan has what it takes to create and lead one.

We wouldn’t need to wait very long for a definitive outcome. Maybe just a year.
Let’s see whose word holds good.

We don't need any time. The defense pact has been signed between KSA and Pakistan. Essentially, these two nations are good enough. They don't need others. Pakistan's rise has started. Our influence is everywhere and nothing is fiction here. If no one else joins, we don't need to be an international daddy.

Both KSA and Pakistan are brothers in arms, each other's strategic depth and each other's military. That's within itself more than enough. The future holds a lot of growth for us, militarily, politically and in technology and business.

It is always better to pay attention to what your 'enemy' is saying and as as embarrassing as it seems in Indian blogs, they are admitting that KSA has chosen Pakistan over India and they are really worried about the Indian expats in the rich GCC Arab countries.
India, despite its huge trade relations with China, America and Saudi Arabia, can't do anything about Pakistan's rise.

The issues with India and US are temporary. These can be resolved with a trade deal or regime change in the US.

However regional dynamics in south asia have changed.

The GCC have finally realised the folly of their oil fueling the Indian war machine against Pakistan who are their last hope of a nuclear deterrence from a very obvious and immediate threat in the region.

India would need to stop buying arab oil, bring back all their workers for this dynamic to change.

Additionally US and China are fully onboard.

India will never pre-emptively attack Pakistan ever again without facing the most severe consequences.

Therefore Pakistan has applied a check on you. Checkmate is coming soon.

My concern is with democrats. The amount of hate Republicans and Dems now have is like Pakistani politics. So my concern is, if Dems come, they won't make a U turn on Trump's policies.

Trump is actually taking all hard steps and actions the Dems didn't take post 2008 financial crises when Obama came and knew these destructive things were happening in big capacity (H1B as one example, list is too long). So we should be fine and on a long term relationship trajectory as long as Republicans stay.
My gut feelings is the US is heading toward a highly stratified society. It's an ominous sign...

Pakistan-Saudi have 3 years of Trump to solidify and move the ‘alliance’ to a point where reversal will be unlikely, regardless of who is in the White House.

Time for KSA to start getting rid of any/all potential israeli spies (aka indians) from its country. Its high time the Saudi's realized this threat and took it very very seriously......they should see the examples of what happened in iran and qatar recently. And this should be done quickly.....DEPORT all potential spies or doubleagents that are loyal to israel

with all due respect, we don't need all these countries. UAE is in bed with israel, and so are many others. We don't really need countries u mentioned in your lists, many of them are friendly with israel and are suspect of siding with israel or helping it

Saudi Arabia first and foremost. Others can wait. Time is crucial and cannot add distractions in all this. Only KSA and Pakistan first. That by itself is alot of work to be done by both countries

Well it is up to the leaders to decide the next move

If it was me

We'd be signing defence Pact every day

However I do appreciate the Saudi-Pakistan defence Pact news it is correct thing to do

Look forward to Turkey-Pakistan defence Pact in Turkey-Egypt defence pact news

Pakistani analysts/bloggers are starting to say there is probably tacit American approval behind this. It is not easy for Pakistanis to acknowledge any American help for Pakistan especially given the history of last 15 years.

This should be the flag.

I like it. You need to remove NATO like diamond shapes around the crescent. There is a very popular TV series on Salahuddin Ayyubi. In the times when we was fighting crusades and eventually kicked them out of Jerusalem, their flag used to be what's below.

Interesting to remember is, Salahuddin fought many war, won all and kicked out massive Christian forces out of Palestine, Gaza and Jerusalem became a muslim land. Since then 1186 I believe, until 1948 when Israel was created, for nearly 800 years, these remained Muslim lands. I wanted to share this rich Islamic history as many don't know it.
But here is the flag, two opposite crescents without stars. Simple, see if you can do some magic with this concept. Would love to see it
