Every single country in the world deports undocumented people. Pakistanis are sent back from ME & Europe all the time, if they are undocumented. In the past there was a case for Afghans to stay here, but now there is no large scale war in Afghanistan.

I do understand that they might face financial losses, but again, Pakistanis themselves leave their millions of Riyals and Dirhams worth of cars and short term assets on roads, discontinue children's education, etc in the Middle East countries and come back to Pakistan when their legal terms expire. I know so many people (including myself to a degree) who sold assets in US and Europe at huge losses, well before their legal terms expired, to come back in an honest, legal manner. All knew the stakes and respected them when the time came, out of the respect for the countries that hosted them.

Everyone does it all over the world, Afghans are not exempt indefinitely from those rules, if they faced a war 20 years ago. Without such laws every country would be in a mess. If Pakistan has to progress then the same laws should be respected here, as well.

No one is against the return of undocumented migrants/refugees. But people born here and stuck in legal limbo are being shafted off as well.

If your strategy is to racially profile people in Islamabad and pick up anyone who looks like pathan, then you need to revisit an ethics class.

Those are valid questions- it isn’t enough to just say that we killed X to avenge Y, we also have to care as much, if not more, about how to prevent future attacks and that is what most people asking about ‘what comes next’ are alluding to.

Take for example Hamas and Israel - the Israelis have gone mad and are essentially carpet bombing an entire occupied people to eliminate Hamas, have taken out most of Hamas leadership and Hamas continues to exist. Pakistan can’t (and shouldn’t) do what Israel has done, so while I understand the emotions behind exacting revenge, don’t let those emotions cloud your judgement to the point where you’re dismissing reasonable and justified concerns over long term strategy.
