Punjab looks to ‘neutralise’ TLP

My father used to say that, for example, if there are four children in a family and one of them is disabled or unable to keep up with the others, the father would get angry and say, “Send him to the madrasa.”

In essence, a significant number of religious individuals are those who were rejected by their families… people who struggled to succeed in state schools or in their careers.

We also see a fair number of so-called scholars whose only qualification is that they come from a Peer (religious) family, even though their actual understanding of religion is quite basic.

I find very few who possess sound knowledge of both Deen and Duniya and who sincerely preach the faith… but sadly, they often become easy targets of these “rejected people” who studied in Madrissah’s and couldn’t comprehend the true meaning of deep knowledge shared by learned people/real scholars because of their limited IQ. Thats why my father also used to say “always listen to what Maulvi is saying but never do what the maulvi is doing”.

Your father is one hundred percent correct. To add to what your father said, always verify any information that a scholar gives; it's incumbent on a Muslim to research and learn, and you can't blame the misinformation solely on the Maulvi. Lastly, as Dr. Israr Ahmed said, there is no Maulvi profession in Islam; the sooner the people learn, the quicker we can come out of the medieval mindset; the same applies to this peeri and moridi nonsense, too.

no shit ? ... :)

QOUTE:

"For the PML-N and its leaders, the rise of the TLP and their days-long protest in Islamabad, coupled with the viral videos of men in uniform paying off the protestors, was evidence that this group was being supported by the establishment as part of a broader effort to prevent the PML-N from regaining power in the 2018 elections, an allegation that both the military and the TLP deny."

That is how training and arming occurs ? Really ? good 4 u.

if it happens now it will be great otherwise if this organization morphs into an armed militant organization like Sipah Sahbah then the chaos will be much more profound, bringing the state down. the leader of this organization is a thug with a foul mouth who uses religion as a cover for justifying the destruction of public and private property.

I do have a concern, could this TLP devolve into another armed militant group and cause havoc in Punjab?

I agree with state finally confronting these unqualified certain extreme groups. There have been people and groups like this in Pakistani forever, but there were a good many years where these people stayed more in the dark places while teaching kids to hate just like them for years these people feel like those in high places were giving them the ok to come out of those dark places by previous governments and be on full display and not care. This is only gonna grow if it is allowed to keep growing. And you will end up like your next door neighbours!!!

Lets hope the 1000 iq smooth brain clowns dont bring another crackhead mullah since this one is expired
on the other hand Complete overhaul and massive reforms of the Madrassah system of education must be carried out at all costs some were carried out in IK times but not enough
Also a criminal act should be introduced outlawing abuse of Fatwas because of bogus Fatwas by extremist mullahs alot of people lost their because they got declared infidel by them while these crackhead mullahs did not face any consequences
Also a proper exam and certification system should be now made only then one can become a cleric or Islamic scholar cause nowdays we have too many fake one's

Sunni with barelvi inclinations

Majority of Sunnis vote for Pmln PPP Pmlq and PTI, they don't really vote for religious parties due to obvious lack in political insight. TLP is the long answer to JUI, JI, SSP, Lashkar Jangvi, Jamat Dawah and others, it was expected aswell since people faced 1000s of attacks on Masjids Darbars and ulema killed. It's unfortunate how they do politics though. I spoke to a few, just high emotional people with big slogans.

Not all TLP supporters are extremists. Every movement has black sheep who twist it for personal gain. Look at the Army for example, countless soldiers gave their lives for Pakistan, but a few generals cashed in on their sacrifice. Same with PTI like Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan type of people.
TLP pulled in a big chunk of votes last election. Those voters are civilians, not enemies you can just erase.

The deeper problem is that people no longer trust the "state". Many genuinely believe that our leaders work hand in hand with foreign powers to undermine Islam in Pakistan.

TLP issue is it's mullah lead party, and these people have no idea about politics, how to play dirty, play with media etc, they are blunt people. It will take them atleast 30 years to either disappear or be like JI and JUI.

Alot of people are blaming establishment for Tlp but it's not true, people need to do research on who issued fatwas against TTP at the beginning when everyone else refused, Tlp types used to protest against terrorism and support Pakistan army for jihad against terrorism, and during protests they only managed like 5000 people, but slowly over the decade they became strong and united. Today under hybrid regime anyone who opposes the rulers is facing brutal crackdown, all this stuff about extremism is propaganda, our secular rulers are the worse.

Most of the masjids have mullah and madrassa. we have more mosques than factories

I am talking about Tlp, they hardly have any Masjid or Maddrassas under them, but what they have is connections with 10,000s of mullahs up and down the country, and mullahs are imams at community masjids. Their support started from being anti terrorist and pro Pakistan army to now power getting to their heads.

Doubt it, the sunni Muslims will reject it. I think after this incident they will calm down, for the past few years they have been behaving but this was supposed to be a normal March for Palestine until the state attacked them.

No issues. I am just trying to point out what Tlp is, it's different from other groups like JI, SSP, Jamat Dawah, JUI, it actually does have genuine support due to facing terrorism for decades. This is when mullahs had enough and decide to fight back.

it is all facade. They will not finish the party but reach a compromise. I fear they will let them ransack or kill some on Friday or later to show 'equalisation'.

got it brother. i have to accept which valid point am not always right

its the mindset of the masses there, unfortunately.

This is why you/we have to be extremely careful when in Pakistan because even the so-called educated ones are quick to throw a temper when you disagree on any religious points of views or dont do things their way. They get offended and start throwing labels. There is very little religious tolerance.......people take advantage and can easily get u killed under some LIE based on religion.
Too many people have lost their lives in the guise of enforcement of religion...

Remember last year or so when that poor overseas Lady with "halwa" written in arabic style on her Qameez almost got lynched by mob in lahore?
Thats the kind of shit that scares me where someone innocent can get brutally murdered by these religious fanatics anywhere if those nutjobs get triggered by the way you/we dress or talk or go about.

NOBODY deserves to be killed or their place of worship, or home attacked if they're a minority....or even practicing muslims too. There is too much intolerance everywhere in Pakistan which needs to change.
People need to start respecting others and their opinions......rule of law should be established and people need to STOP taking law into their own hands when it involves suspected cases of blasphemy as well.

Politics and mob-ism on the basis of religion needs to be stopped.
