Altay & Turkish Main Battle Tank Programs

And then Rafale ended up with PL-15 in its ass. Don't get too cocky. If your Greek or Emirati friends gets too adventurous, some Turkish missile might end up there too.;)
So you are finding it that difficult to come up with a sensible answer that actually relates to our topic?

your "drop in " explanation was too short to convince me that using the same config, same number of cylinders, same global cm3, same connections to the hgear box and MBT frame is something else than a copy. But OKay, it's a drop in replacement ;) .

Now the real stake is to see the reliability of Batu engine. Not a so easy tack, because the german engine is the result of a long engine family, with a lot of refinements and improvements.

If you have a specific space it needs to fit into, and a specific power requirement, why would I recreate the wheel and build something exotic when everyone else build a V12 and put Twin Turbo on it? What is the benefit of a V8 or V10 underpowered engine here?

You are just bitter.

there was other architecture possible : V8, V10, ....
But it's clear that it was the easier way to mimic the german engine that already deeply inspired south corea for it's K2 engine.

French Engine is V8 , because LECLERC Tank is 55-56 tons

but ALTAY Tank is 65 tons
V12 Engines provide a much smoother, more continuous and stable torque output. This immense low-end torque is vital for propelling modern 65–70 tons Tanks like ALTAY

Also, V12 Engines operate with almost zero vibration, even at very high power outputs.

German , Korean , Russian , British , Chinese and Turkish Engines are V12

better wory about your LECLERC Tank which is without an Active Protection System

French chose V8 not because Leclerc is lighter, but because its engine has a very specific configuration : a dedicated turbine push compressed air in the engine, so the engine can have a smaller displacement. It acts as a turbo, but with full pressure even from idle. So A V8 was far than enough. The tork is impressive, even at low rotation speed.

And Leclerc is lighter because (but not only) nearly 1 meter less long than others, thanks to this engine configuration, reducing the total weight.

the same displacement engine but with 10 or 8 cylinders may have given the same power. But a shorter and bigger engine.

T72 is in the 41 to 45 tons. And powered by a V12. So it's not (at least not only) the weight that drive the engine config.

The V12 in the T-72 is much older and far less power. The Altay design philosophy is also different, its a more armored heavier tank, it needs to more power and that power is best served with a V12 that generates the amount of power that it does. Show us the V8 tank engine with the 1500hp and performance as the V12 that the replacement engine is supposed to fill. It doesn't exist, everyone has used a V12 for their engine for a reason at that weight and power need.

Several people have now explained things to you, and now you are just trolling, so I'm going to put an end to this.
